Oh shut up dummy I was just fuckin w ya.
Kk twas jus' me waiting for last straw because like i typed then - I could not get over men johnwaynein' like that on my web for a while xD

I don't think the issue is possession of the gun but the fact he allegedly fired it off while intoxicated and behind the wheel of a vehicle with keys in the ignition. Negligent use of a firearm is just a misdemeanor in NM so no big deal anyway really.

A .22 is not a BB gun. At close range, a .22 can do quite a bit of damage, especially to the head. The bullet generally doesn't leave the skull, so instead it bounces around, tearing up brain tissue.

The US military uses the M16 and M4 as the primary rifles, which are chambered in .223 (5.56mm) compared to the much larger 7.62x39 round used by the AK47 and its clones. The reason? The smaller round does more damage when it hits the body as it tears through organs.

A BB gun, though, basically won't even draw blood usually.

See the difference?
Difference is that 5.62 travels at a velocity of 3000+ fps and creates a very large wound channel due to it expanding , yawing and moving violently through the body due to its speed. 22 lr meanwhile is around 1000 fps out of a pistol and will have no expansion at all. It certainly can be deadly if it hits your heart, lungs or central nervous system but its far less effective at quickly stopping someone than a 9mm or 45. Hollowpoint.

For SD, you should only carry 22 in pocket guns if you’re carrying a compact size gun+ take a 9mm.

I was waiting for this info. Lol .22 cal GLOCK

Uh ok

Jon Jones should be carrying a Glock 17 9mm if anything.

Or perhaps a Beretta 92 Stainless Steel.

Or a nickel plated 357 magnum

A .22 cal glock is literally the definition of a pea shooter
That Glock was made for target shooting, not home defense. It's a hobbyist gun.

They may not pack a punch, but just pulling it out can deter potential assailants. The theory is that Jon pulled over to roll a blunt and the homeless men approached him to beg for money. That's when he brandished the pistol and shot it into the air, scaring them off.

"Police found a loaded Glock 44, a sleeve of .22-caliber shells ..."

Loaded shows intention to shoot.

Wrong.
99,9% of people who carry guns carry them loaded, because carrying an unloaded gun makes no sense. A lot of people also carry them chambered, which still shows no intent to shoot and will not be detrimental to any court judgement in a case of self-defence for example.

that was the old white Jon jones from twitter trolling everyone. Ufc champ Jon Jones is yet to respond

Cool, so I can look forward to him admitting he’s a pussy, by carrying a girlie gun. Thanks.

I knew someone would take the bait. A .22 can be deadly but it's still not a high powered handgun. I'd much rather have someone shooting a glock 44 at me than a glock 17, 19, 23 etc... Sure, no one wants to get shot period. I own a S&W MP15 so I understand the difference between 5.56 NATO and .223, mainly being pressure.
Woah woah woah!.. Im Canadian, so it’s difficult to follow. Are you discussing how many picograms of that gun were actually in the car?

Isn't 9mm relatively weak? Elaborate thx
Nope. It is a very good pistol caliber. It is basically a very high pressure 380. While a 380 is subsonic launching a 90 grains bullet, a 9mm is supersonic with a 124gr bullet. 9mm is subsonic around 147 grains.

A .22 is great for hunting squirrels or rats, or for introducing your 5 year old to firearms.
1000ish FPS velocity, while a strong bb/pellet gun can be over 800

The .223/5.56 Rifle cartridge used in the M4/M16 while also being small caliber, has almost three times the velocity.
Mostly because it's a larger cartridge and therefore has more power when it's fired. That doesn't mean a .22 is a toy or should be taken lightly.

In fact, I'd recommend a .22 for close quarters home defense. It won't go through walls and hit someone it wasn't meant to. A shot to the head will still stop someone coming at you, though.

Funny thing... All Crymier's fans have is Jones doing wrong things outside the cage to blame him for something... But they can't get the GOAT status, so all they got is something like this:

Aww. I was at an indoor handgun range once and i shot a sig, beretta and a colt (iirc) revolver with no recoil. I remember beretta felt and looked slim n elegant but it had more recoil than the Sig

Is it illegal to have it?
New Mexico has an "extended domain" law, which means that a person's vehicle (including motorcycles, bicycles, all-terrain vehicles, RVs, and while riding a horse) is considered an extension of their home. It is therefore legal to carry a loaded firearm without a permit, openly or concealed, anywhere in a vehicle.

No it was not illegal for him to have it. The problem is that he shot it out his window and then told the cops he didn’t shoot a gun. Then they found a gun in his car and then a spent shell next to his car
