People are missing the forest for the trees. This clip is just showing me that the Goat is continuing to push himself against the best single sport athletes in the training room sparring them in their respective sports. That willingness is why he is the best….especially when he can competitively grapple a Goat like Gordon.

I wish I could see a full video of this… at some point if jones retires I would love full training montages from the years to be released. I remember when I was at Blackzilians for Rashad’s camp against jones there were talks of jones having the tapes from his and Rashad’s training sessions that Van Arsdale wanted to review. As well as his Overeem sparring sessions, I guess Jones is big on hoarding training footage so it isn’t used against him by future opponents (which I understand). Still would be incredible to release post career, I’d imagine he has a ton.

BJJ with strikes is not the BJJ Gordon does, lol. It's much closer to what Jones does, it's delusional to think the other would beat the other one at their sport.

Cool to see Jones in with the best challenging them in their own field. This shouldn't even be a poll, Gordon wins grappling, Jones wins with strikes allowed in grappling. Honestly if Jones runs through Stipe, he could get 2 more defenses and tie Stipe's defense record at HW, depends how Jones feels at HW though.

It's not a "delusion" to think that Ryan wouldn't be able to do anything vs Jones once striking on the ground was a factor. Gordon literally would have no clue what to do, while Jones is very used to grappling with striking as a part of the game.
