It’s also funny that Jon mentions nothing about being injured or needing time to recover. He just said 9 weeks isn’t enough time for him to be fully prepared. First MMA fighter with endorsements with Nike and Gatorade which he lost due to his behavior outside the cage. Missed UFC 200 main event due to PED use. Now turns down the most hyped card ever.

You know 42 is older than 37, right? Jon is apparently the champ, which means his job is to defend the title against the top contender, not declare "I'm getting older", and therefore needs to find someone 5 years older than himself and coming off a brutal KO loss to fight.
