Jon Jones attacking Ariel Helwani on Twitter

“He had the opportunity to be that guy to dethrone me”. Bitch, he was in the thrown and you showed up and sat your ass in his seat without fighting him.

... Cause Francis left instead of fighting him.

I know why you guys keep pretending it was the other way around, but it's stupid. Gane was replacing Ngannou, not Jon.

If he didn't believe in himself he wouldn't have left the UFC for opportunities else where when many people said it was a bad decision. No he did believe in himself and made the right choice. Jones never called out Francis until Francis was already gone lol. Going to a PFL event and pretending he wanted to fight him.

Francis literally left the UFC to compete in a sport where his biggest weaknesses no longer existed and could cause him to lose fights, and to fight MMA in a promotion where his hardest enemies weren't and he doesn't even have to compete in their tournaments.

But Jon is the guy who isn't challenging himself after 13 years of straight title fights in the biggest MMA organization in the world.

Do you people actually even listen to yourselves?

Dana Started Boxing X MMA with Conor now it bite him in the ass.

Dana Open the Pandora Box now everyone in MMA want make Box and receive a fat payday they are not wrong, Dana make all of this happen lol what a irony.

Jon can hold onto his paper belt making the scraps UFC throws his way while fighting geriatric part time fighters. Francis on the other hand is going to make more than Jon has in his entire career in a few boxing matches. Jon had 3 years to step to Francis and he decided to wait on the sidelines until he left for greener pastures.

The complete opposite of what happened. Jon Jones ducked the fight when Ngannou was champion. He begged to be cut rather than face Ngannou

Dana even said at the time he was scared to fight Ngannou. Then Ngannou fights Gane instead, completing his contract and leaves for a better deal. Jones is all of a sudden ready to fight for less money.

Jones ducked Francis. Jon was literally “bulking” for the division for over 3 years.

Francis wasn't even UFC champion back when Jon left LHW in August 2020. Francis becomes champion in March 2021, 2 years before Jon's HW debut. Not 3.

Then Francis refuses to defend his title, forcing an interim title fight between Gane and Lewis. Francis defends against the winner nearly 1 year after winning the belt in Jan 2022. We're 1 year out from Jon's HW debut.

Francis then spends another 1 year sitting on his ass because he's injured and is trying to wait out his contract so he can become a free agent. This is when Jon's trying to HW debut where Francis instead leaves the UFC after refusing to sign to fight Jon.

I'm so sorry the facts don't fit your narrative.

I love how inconsistent you guys are. Jon tries to do what Ngannou did and get more pay for their fight or leave the promotion for someone who will, and you shit on him but praise Ngannou for the same thing. Even though if anybody deserve more pay it was Jones after a literal decade of being champ.

It's almost like you don't have any principles or something.

Meanwhile when push came to shove and Jon and Ngannou did get more money to fight each other as they'd been angling for Jon signed and Ngannou didn't.

Jones is a hypocrite. He called DC a paper champ at LHW because DC didn’t beat him for the belt. Meanwhile Jon beat Francis’s leftovers for the title and calls himself a multi-weight champ.

Except Jon had an actual point as he'd literally beaten DC only 3 months prior in their very last fights. It was definitively known who the better fighter was between them and it wasn't DC.

Wait out his contract? I'm pretty sure his contract was based in a certain number of fights, as usual. If anything, it was the UFC trying to renegotiate with him before his last fights (and of course, he rejected the offers).

It is a fact that Jon took 3 years to bulk, though, and that Cormier did it in a heartbeat and defeated a younger, potentially in his prime, Stipe...
