I dislike Jones, but I still feel sorry for him. He's on a self-destructive path despite having money, fame, etc. I hope he gets his shit together for his sake and that of his family.

You know he will continue to fight for at least a few more years. The bigger question is obviously when he is no longer competing what is going to happen to him? Is he going to end up in prison for a long time because he just can’t control these damn demons. I hope not.

I'm not saying he's the devil but he definitely deserves some major punishment for this or else he'll continue to fuck up. He has probably drove drunk a lot of times without getting caught but this time he did.

Nothing I think in terms of stripping him at least for now. I do think he is probably looking at some jail time though. Too many incidents with driving while intoxicated. And I really think some jail time this summer would be a good thing for him. 60 or 90 days and then he comes out With that being somewhat of a wake up call. I don’t think he was going to fight until around the holidays anyway.

I think his legal team is going to have a difficult time keeping him out of jail for this one. Not major jail time but possibly two or three months. Too many offenses driving while intoxicated.

It was in the middle of a crisis who knows how he was mentally adjusting to quarantine what's happened to friends/family etc. No one was hurt by his actions and given that there's(supposed to be) no one on the roads I don't see how the normal severity of a DUI exists here.

Because its a non violent drug crime that shouldn't have the penalty it does. Makes him fleeing the scene while leaving his car and info seem understandable. And he was convicted with hit and run, he was guilty of drug possession regardless of how stupid I think that crime is, he wasn't guilty of hit and run judge was wrong.

And being high or drunk totally changes that.

I'm watching the video. Can you US and A cunts explain why cops don't simply do a breath test that takes 10 seconds? Why go through this fucking dance routine?

An officer has to develop probable cause before an arrest (the breath test is administered after being arrested - the field breath test (prior to being arrested) is optional and the suspect can refuse the field test with no consequence - the suspect can refuse the "official" breath test once arrested, but their license will be suspended for one year automatically if they refuse at that point). The field sobriety test is used to develop the probable cause for arrest. Would be great to just administer the breath test off the get go, but the constitution considers that more like a warranttless search for a lack of a better explanation. An officer can't just force a person to give his breath without probable cause. DUI's are one of the most scrutinized arrests in court and the paperwork for a DUI (simple misdemeanor) is ridiculous. Now, what CUNTry are you located in, and what your dui laws?
