Jon either has the worst management in the sport or doesn't want the fight

TL;DR. If Neither Conor or Khabib made 30M each, they were robbed.

Again, i need proof of Jones demanding 30 million in some form of compensation, cause it sounds dumb honestly, fight would sell above 1 million but i doubt it breaks any records, how does he plan on getting paid those 30 million? The UFC doesnt do huge purses.

Has nothing to do with your OP, but all the babies who are trying to maintain that it's just a grift.

The prior ones absolutely were, but there's no denying he's actually gone and built a HW body so clearly he does have HW ambitions this time around and the rest is just window dressing.

I am not responsible for other people's views. I said it was one of two things, bad management or not wanting the fight. I then said I thought it was the former.

If someone else thinks it is that he doesn't want the fight that's their problem. A third option is he has no management and is managing himself, horribly.

If UFC can't build Jon to sell millions its their fault. He was the most dominant and exciting fighter of the past decade.

But we all know UFC likes to build the brand, gives us shit cards every week and people are happy with it.

Did read, too dumb. Thanks.

Cormier simply explains it from a fighters perspective

Jones wants to get paid, hes been undefeated for a decade and athletes in others combat sports are making 10X more per fight

Why the hell not?

If Francis gets some wins under his belt its a bigger fight for Jones and him.
If Lewis wins, its an easier fight for Jones

He still wins

Dont they not have to disclose that anymore?

Its crazy that you could potnentially be right
I thought I heard that too but not 100% sure.
If I was potential right I feel like it's something we wouldn't get confirmation on for years. If ever. Like Jordan playing baseball and not basketball.
it has always struck me as odd, him walking away from the title the way he did

Well 3 million would be a pay cut. so nope lol. Francis is a bad match up, but let's not pretend that Stipe and Lewis aren't also bad matchups.

He’s never been paid $3M up front in his life. Just get off it. And that is what he’s asking for. Guaranteed money of $30M. Conor and Khabib are in the $5-6M guaranteed range.

For someone claiming you don’t care for the guy. Why are you hugging him more than anybody else in any related thread? It’s laughable reading your posts in this thread.

you clearly don’t work a job that values you, then. Or you don’t value yourself. I’ve never accepted a first offer in my field, ever.

*whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh*

not even close to what i said.

whenever some jackass tried that bullshit with me, i excused them and removed them from contention. there's a difference between accepting any offer and asking for $30M.

Up front as in disclosed? No. But PPV points doesn't get you to 5 million, which seems to be what people agree Jon has been making. You need a LOA giving you a flat 2 or 3 million to get to 5 million with PPV points. For example, if we are using Ronda Rousey's PPV contract from 2015 (which is almost certainly more generous than Jones) and take Jones' best PPV (we'll round and call it 850k buys), you only get 1.2 million in PPV points pay. Bottom line, Jon has to be receiving a flat guaranteed payment to get to 5 million.

I like fighters getting paid more of the revenue pie. Trust me, if I could choose a fighter to get paid more, it's not Jones. But Jones is who's up at the plate here.

Jones is just being crafty. He knows hes asking too much now. Hes going to pretend he's underpaid, fake a retirement to get out of the USADA pool. Get absolutely yoked, come back and beat Francis sauced to the socks. He would probably win if they fought tomorrow, but he takes the Floyd approach. He's ALWAYS the favourite. Jones isn't a Frankie Edgar, risk it for the biscuit type of dude. He's more calculated than he gets credit for.

I said it before, im gonna say it again, he doesnt want this fight and never even wanted it. Before Reyes fight he did an interview with Helwani and said that he would like to fight Stipe and thinks he has good chances. Now that Stipe has lost his dreams are crushed. I feel bad for him because Adesanya lost also so he has nowhere to go nowhere to hide. He arguably lost his last two fights at LHW and clearly isnt the same fighter without juice, but he is gonna take biggest monster in UFC in Ngannou... please

I didn't say nor do I believe that Jon doesn't want the fight.

I said that he is either horribly managed or he doesn't want the fight.

I then said I believe it is the former.

Everything I wrote was not to show Jon didn't want the fight, but that him asking for 30m (assuming that is true) is preposterous.

If you had taken the trouble to read you would know what I said, as opposed to presume what is 'fairly obvious' wrongly. Because you are stupid.

You are just a lazy moron.
Aww so cute when haters get defensive...

Who the fuck are you to judge what is preposterous to ask?
Are you ANY authority on the subject? Do you even fucking know exactly how much fighters make (including UFC's famous locker room bonuses and all?)
Do you know what is in Jon's contract right now? do you know his options? do you know UFC's options?
You do not. You make assumptions and bash a fighter for trying to get paid more, in a sport where it was proven many times over that the owners give almost NOTHING of the profits to the fighters.
You, my little dumbass, is a big part of the problem of why fighters don't get paid more.
Because you in all your righteousness outrage beat on the fighter, instead of the promotion, and pressure them to accept less money.

So please don't try to explain yourself on something you are completely clueless about, and are just sucking up to the UFC because they cry it is too much, but you have no idea if it is or not.
Heck, you probably just think it is a "big number", and you compare with your pathetic life, and know you will never make such amount, so your hate/envy/outrage kick in.
How DARE Jon ask for so much money??? Poor Dana White !!!

He's been teasing about going HW for a while now but of course it never happened and I don't think it will. He's stalling.

It seems pretty clear that he doesn't want the fight.
