please defend the artistic choices behind molesting and crippling batgirl be my guestYou sound like a blast at parties.
Correction:please defend the artistic choices behind molesting and crippling batgirl be my guest
yeah you've got nothingCorrection:
A fucking blast.
Speaking of Deniro... he was so horribly miscast. He's a great actor but if you've ever seen him do an interview, he's an absolute DUD with no charisma, so I wasn't feeling him playing a late night host.
Sir, i cant upgrade you farther from being a "fucking blast at parties" any further.yeah you've got nothing
32 . Technically still a Millennial. I thought Phoenix was great , but the plot was straight forward and the majority of the cast felt bland and De Niro was miscast for the sake of the connection to his two movies.

So you are FOR this film then? Mustve read ya wrong.Fair enough. I started to predict plot points in the second half as well, but it still flowed. I connected with it emotionally. I almost cried at least once, and I laughed pretty hard a few times. Millenials are not going to see the dark humor as well.
Yes. 8.5-9/10.So you are FOR this film then? Mustve read ya wrong.
I'm a little confused by this statement, I know you are usually on all the MCU threads and you've always rated those movies extremely high. How is this movie not a major improvement over them? For one, this film had certain scenes that aren't as predictable as your average MCU film.
Even if you can predict scenes, why is that a bad thing? Did it take away from the performance, the story, etc?
How do ya think ya might have felt about it were it not a comic book movie?I rate movies on my experience dont take my rating for a legit rating, if I have fun in a movie and enjoy the experience I'll rate it higher . Phoenix is great here but the rest of this movie didn't resonate with me hence why I would say he gave a 9 -10 while I have the movie at a 7. Yeah I have more fun at most MCU movies but those are way more of a suspension of belief so I go in expecting the absurd. This movie feels like a drama about a mentally ill anti hero grounded in reality and I didn't enjoy it as much.
I'd probably rate it lower because I fucking hate clowns . But the Joker is an Icon . Also the references to Batman Lore with Bruce and Arkham added to the plot because you know they are destined to battle and Arkham is shady personified if it was some random kid and hospital they would be meaningless to me the viewer. How do ya think ya might have felt about it were it not a comic book movie?
That's the thing.. It's a great movie. Younger comic movie fan hasn't seen many of those. I almost think it's going to be a defense mechanism for some of them so they don't have to wake up to the fact they (and we) have been eating garbage (and a little better) for 12 years now.How do ya think ya might have felt about it were it not a comic book movie?
I used that line to poke fun at the difference between canon and origin storiesSir, i cant upgrade you farther from being a "fucking blast at parties" any further.
Best to pout toward your intial contender.
Or continue with me, i dont care.
Where do you stand, with the critics or audience? Are people confusing a good performance for a good movie?
It’s getting trashed by critics but audiences seem to be enjoying it.
I haven’t seen it. I’m asking.Where do you stand, with the critics or audience?
