What's so more adult about suicide squad than marvel films( I also forgot to add Logan as a better film and is also not for kids)?

How are Mama, magnito and Valentine not proper villains?

As i said I'm not a marvel fan boy and hate what the mcu has grown into but you seem a bit irrational with your hate of them. I had hope for ss because I liked all of ayers previous films but its objectively not a great film
Civil war didn't have a proper villain. That was my initial post you replied to.

If Jared Leto isn't the Joker, then I fear for DC's movie future. I want to see more of HIS Joker.

We found the 1 fan of Suicide Squad @DataBreach and YEP, he's borderline retarded.

As for the villain, not sure if he was referring to the reject from a The Mummy movie, or Cara Delevigne, the catwalk model????
Civil war had no proper villain.

The writing in Suicide Squad was 10X better than Civil war. It also made $745 million. Lol. I don't think I was the only one who liked it.

It was a good origin story. Explaining how joker wanted to be a comedian but he couldn't feed his family and he took the Red Hood job out of desperation. Then they forced him to go through with it after his wife and child died.

I couldn't agree more. The point of the facepalm was that the origin story is in the widely acclaimed graphic novel, based on which the animated movie was made.

And while i generally refrain from "damnit, they didn't go with the source material" statements, the weird style of animation not transferring well to the screen (and the fact that Batman got some) made a lot of people not appreciate this specific movie.

I didn't think the movie was that great, and I agree about the animation. I get you.

Why can't bad guys just be bad guys? Surely they'll just make it some sort of sympathetic fluff piece.

About Joker? I don't think so. He's not Loki, mischievous and whatnot. He's a murdering psychopath. No fluff can make that into an antihero.

Then again, it's DC, and they're making a Black Adam movie, probably doing the same antihero thing there, so who knows.

It was a good movie. Civil war was a boring, predictable extension of Winter Soldier. Which, believe me, had it's own problems.

I'm not ragging on anyone for their opinion -if you dig it, you dig it- just surprised someone would choose that film to be their double down is all.

For what it's worth, I liked the concept but, hated the execution.

I'm with you bud. Don't feel he got his due and proper in SS.

What D.C. Needs to do is a Batflek vs. Leto stand alone. No JL cameos, no Harley Quinn or other rogues. Batman vs. The Joker. That's it.

Yes that's what your posting does to people's faces.

You keep repeating "it had no villain" without realizing you're just telling us you didn't understand the movie at all. It was called CIVIL WAR. Do you hate movies about the American civil war because Russia wasn't the villain?

And sorry, opinions are opinions, but if you think Suicide Squad had better writing than Civil War and a good villain, you're a stupid person. And great job using $ as a benchmark. Tell us why the acting in the emoji movie was underrated because of how it did in China....

What was wrong with the execution? You know it's easier to criticize than create?

My problem with Marvel movies is their characters are growing stale. I'm already sick of Iron man because he's basically in every movie and he steals the show. I mean... you got Thor and Hulk and Iron man saves the day in every Avengers movie. Thor looks completely different in the Avengers movies compared to his stand alone films.

I want to see balanced comic book movies. Not the Robert Downey Jr. Show.

Just saying.

You know your talking to a guy who's written 14 books.

2 Novels
2 screenplays
1 novelette
6 books of poetry
3 books of Bible Interpretations

Quit justifying crap. Not only did Civil war not have a proper villain either did Winter Soldier. Lol

Winter Soldier = CA's boss was the villain and Bucky his instrument. No depth. Once Cap finds out it's Bucky he stops fighting him, lol. I know, drama so tense you could cut it with a knife (sarcasm).

Civil war = Winter Soldier 2. Even lamer than the original. No villain. Cap has a differing of opinion with Stark and so they beat each other up. Lol. No villain and ZERO closer. Epic fail.

Suicide Squad had a 6000 year old witch as a villain and it doubled down when she raised up her brother. The fact both were using innocent vessels made it even deeper. A profound ending where both brother and sister are killed and even one of the good guys die.

At this point Marvel is basically repackaging crap. The first CA was good but the two others were pathetic cash grabs that brought the overall brand down. At least DC is taking chances.

Now do you have any facts you would like to bring to the table or are you just going to pout like a child (see what I did there).

I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the Marvel films either before you group me in like that. I'm a fan of good stories, characters and so on.

Im more of a Sin City, Watchmen, Dark Knight, The Crow (the 1st one) and the 1st X-Men type. If I think something is well done I'll give it a go. A lot of the Marvel stuff is too cartoonish for my liking tbh, and I find some of the DC stuff too cheesy.

I don't dislike all if it tho, and I certainly don't have an allegiance one way or the other.

Im not that interested. Character has been beat to fkn death.

Maybe a Red Hood movie.. Maybe.

I was just thinking the other day how I would like to see a gritty Batman movie set in the 80's starring Affleck.

While this idea is different I think it could work beautifully.

Good stuff. I also like some Marvel films but it seems I like the first volumes of most of the movies. I loved Iron man, CA, Guardians of the Galaxy and the first Thor. But I can't lie, I haven't enjoyed any of the sequels. And I was indifferent to both Avengers flicks

DC seems to take more chances. They have stumbled in the beginning but IMO their two best films have Bern their most recent.

I don't like it when brands rest on their laurels. Marvel did that with both sequels to CA: The first Avenger. It was crap IMO.

Don't usually agree with you but you're spot on here.

I really enjoyed Suicide Squad
