He fits perfectly in a shared kid friendly universe adaptation of DC. I really don’t understand why people want a serious Joker in that universe when we are getting fucking Shazam in the DCEU.

Wow, this movie is going to suck.

The set photos grew on me. I’m officially hyped for this film. I’m glad that DC Black
films are a thing now. Now fans can’t bitch about comic book movies being too dark, since the DCEU is still there. Movie makers aren’t shackled to making a kid friendly super hero block buster attached to the DCEU. They can now focus on making a good movie.

If this is just a stand alone Joker story then that is awesome, but if its going to try and provide an origin for the Joker and explain why he is the Joker than that is crossing a line. IMHO. I'm not even a DC guy so my authority on this subject is shakey.

At this point no idea is a good idea for WB/DC, but I'm intrigued so they're gonna get my money. I'm afraid the Joker is being overexposed but then again I thought all the Avengers were too so who knows

Context matters. Let's see the movie first. We've seen at least 3-4 different clown get-ups now one "final" Joker (we are lead to believe anyways).

If you want to watch what the movie will be similar to story wise watch King of Comedy with Robert De Niro I think someone mentions this before

But Robert De Niro is also in the movie and Martin Scorcese was rumored to produce the film before but didnt attach himself to it.
De Niro will play the tv host similar to what Jerry Lewis played in the king of comedy

Joker is a failed Stand up comic in the 1980s similar to King of Comedy and he goes on a crime spree

here is a scene from king of comedy the black girl in this was the girl Rupert pupkin liked, in the Joker movie they cast a similar looking black female to be the love interest or the girl Joker likes and tries to impress its basically a remake using the Joker
