Media Johny Hendricks *** MEGA Lightweight ***

Hendricks/GSP is an all time robbery. Johnny got fucked… it was like Shogun/Machida, but Mchida had the balls to actually give Shogun the rematch. GSP quit.
If you base the fight on damage, Johnny won, if you base a fight on points and control, I could see how GSP won. Not that big of a robbery imo.

Haven't seen the fight in years, but I remember one of the knockdowns/takedowns Johnny got was actually Johnny stepping on Georges foot. It looked a lot more dramatic that it actually was.

It is no where NEAR Shogun-Machida, which made me create an account here after lurking for years to argue the fight days before (and to stream the events for a select group of peeps here). Cecil Peoples judging that fight literally didn't count fucking leg kicks bro. No robbery will come close, it's what started the instant rematches for the most part.

He used up 70% of his prime in that fight.

It was a close fight, not a robbery by any means. Of course Johnny thinks he won. You kind of have to in that situation. It's the best way to keep yourself in title contention. Not sure why so much Hendricks stuff is floating around right now.

Lucky for Jonny he didn't get a rematch. Johnny went on a losing streak afterward that ended with losing to a gay porn star in bare knuckle. GSP won the MW title. And that's not even getting into the other, uh, issue (avoids stating so post isn't deleted, but knows the evidence is overwhelming).

Robbery and a bad decision are two different things. Not saying this was either, but many here don't know the difference. A robbery is where one fighter dominates the whole fight (or close to it) and the other gets the decision (the term came from boxing). Whether you think this was a bad decision or not, the fight was close enough to not be a robbery. Johnny did more damage during the rounds he won, but that doesn't matter unless you go to Pride scoring. The only thing in dispute was round 1, and it was no runaway. GSP won rounds 3 and 5.

This fight is constantly labelled a robbery which is ridiculous.

Rd 1 was a swing round that could have gone either way, the judges thought GSP edged it.

Rd 2 and 3 were Hendricks

Rd 4 and 5 were GSP

I wouldn’t argue if you had Hendricks winning, it was a razor close fight where people seem to ignore the first round was a toss up

Nah, Hendricks definitely did enough to take the 1st round.

Unanimous media scorecards in favour of "the losser". Unparalelled.

media scorecards are all conjecture, most of them don’t know how to judge a fight properly. I remember one sherdog pbp guy scored Izzy/Jan for Adesanya, then when they realized it they went back and changed all the scorecards to make them unanimous for Jan lol
