Joey Beltran arguably beat Stipe and at very least fight could have gone either way

It was a close fight indeed.

Stipe started gassing hard in the 2nd from what I remember. I don't think he's the type of guy who can scramble and grapple hard for too long. He did it with a fat Hunt who was coming off a ridiculous weight cut but I think anyone who can clinch with him and make him work on the ground is going to give him a hard fight. I'd pick someone like Cormier over him in a heartbeat.
Cormier is an easy fight for Stipe

Joey Beltran coming for that Middleweight Strap.

this dude looks like he came straight from the protype of the gangbanger in the VICE's ms-13 documentary

Every fight is different, a potential champion like stipe can have a close fight with a guy like Beltran when he's not on point,

Not anymore, came in at 230-something against Gormley. Dude just goes back and forth with weight, we'll probably see him at LHW next, again.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that fight and it happened last week. That shit sucked.

That was Stipe's debut fight in the ufc. In the follow up he was little bit rocked vs Phill De Fries and lost a round vs SDR. His first signs of improvement showed in the Roy Nelson fight.

I do not think he lost that round versus Shane and how 'rocked' he was against Phil is overstated

Yea Stipe has cardio issues. Which makes Werdum all the more retarded for charging at his face first. The longer the fight went on the better it was for Werdum. Just look at the JDS fight, Stipe could barely lift his arms up by the 3rd round.

If he's allowed to coast like the Hunt/Roy/Gonzaga fights he does ok, but any adversity and he gasses in about two rounds.

Luckily for him Reem isn't really a cardio machine either.

Well the point was Stipe has come a long way from those fights as well as getting ko'ed vs Struve. Pretty much everyone picked Nelson to ko him as a tune up for Roy. I agree that he wasnt in much of a trouble vs Phil.

But as for SDR:

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 del Rosario
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 del Rosario
Mike Whitman scores the round 10-9 del Rosario

. Good one, but MMAjunkie.com sees it for Del Rosario, 10-9

I don't know why but Beltran (at HW at least) kind of reminds me of Cabbage.

This makes me think of a thread that said that jds against stipe could've gone either way. Wouldn't you be a troll ? ^^

A.) It was not close.
2.) Stipe and other fighters improve.
D.) Stop hating on a good guy who's gotten better and done good.

:D I like how you started with letters then went to numbers then back to letters again and what the heck happen with 3 aka C.

Not to mention using both "." and ")" you will be a nightmare for anyone with OCD.

Imagine you in charge of the office paper work, documents the boss will be like: 'oh no here we go again'.. at least it will make things more interesting. :p

Stipe was like 6-0 or similar.

Now, Miocic kills Beltran in under 3mins, Lavar fucking Johnson did the same in less time. Beltran is a gamer, I like the guy, but he;s a flabby brawler with a decent chin. Miocic would absolutely murder the dude nowadays.
