Joey Beltran arguably beat Stipe and at very least fight could have gone either way

Stipe easily won a decision in his seventh pro fight and UFC debut, against a guy who at that time was a tough and durable fighter. It also goes to show how much Stipe has improved since this fight. Pretty good debut imo for having so little experience at the time. Just face it TS, Stipe is the champ now, and you will always be a loser.

sorry beltran usually shows up fat and is boring
Holy shit you don't know what you are talking about lol. Joey Beltran is always showing up ready to brawl. He's literally the type a fighter a Just Bleed fan loves.

Yep Beltran shows up to smash or be smashed. Beltan is fun to watch.

Arguably....but there is no argument that Stipe beat Werdum, and that was kind of the fight that mattered.

Exactly. But the UFC shills will cry when they realize that a mid level Bellator MW almost beat their precious HW champion.

Beltran is a tough fella. Not the most skilled, but can hang in there until he's removed from his feet and take a ton of abuse. Glad he's chosen to drop down to a weight more fitting of his body.

It was a close fight indeed.

Stipe started gassing hard in the 2nd from what I remember. I don't think he's the type of guy who can scramble and grapple hard for too long. He did it with a fat Hunt who was coming off a ridiculous weight cut but I think anyone who can clinch with him and make him work on the ground is going to give him a hard fight. I'd pick someone like Cormier over him in a heartbeat.

That would actually be a great fight

Was there live for that event, remember that fight was awesome but Stipe won for sure haha

Well that's it then

Joey Beltran > Fedor

We'll know for sure soon. Given how many losses he's had recently, I'm sure he'll be Fedor's next victim at RIZIN.

A.) It was not close.
2.) Stipe and other fighters improve.
D.) Stop hating on a good guy who's gotten better and done good.

Staaaaaahp it!!!

Stipe's one of the most improved UFC HWs I've seen. He also was stunned by Phil De Fries before turning it around and finishing him(whole fight didn't even last a minute). SDR was giving him all he could handle on the feet too from what I remember before taking it to the ground and landing heavy gnp.

His defense and footwork have gotten alot better.

Joey Beltran coming for that Middleweight Strap.

Not anymore, came in at 230-something against Gormley. Dude just goes back and forth with weight, we'll probably see him at LHW next, again.

That was a very good back and forth fight between Joey Beltran and Stipe. I scored the fight for Beltran and felt that he arguably beat Miocic. In the 2nd round Beltran smashed Miocic, took him down and almost finished Stipe. Beltran was also landing on Stipe a lot. At the very least it was a very close fight that could have gone either way. I give props to Beltran for giving Stipe a very tough fight.
If by arguably beat you mean beating up and taking down a bunch of times then yes. Fight wasnt even close lol. He lost every round lol.

And wow, he went to MW... didn't last long, went up to LHW then back to HW.

There's no way he won that fight, but Beltran could take a serious beating in his day. He looked good in the 2nd round.

So what? Stipe wasn't his best yet. He's a tremendously improved fighter now. Beltran's best days are behind him, and those were not all that.
