Smarten up. It was clearly a guy fooling around with a girl or two there talking. His buddy recorded it as happens often these days. Pro fighter comes bulldozing through the middle of it. Then swings on a manlet civilian for objecting to being shoved out of the way.Did the victim press charges? Who and why was he being recorded? Setup?
And if the guy attack joe from behind after yelling Hey and Joe kept walking would that have been okay???..
Joe turned around to address the threatening yelling from the drunk guy behind him...With his hands open and down
Your assessing the situation from a after the fact view point where im looking at it from in that moment poiint of view...which is how you should look at it
We could sit here and play scenarios out all day or say what could or should of happened...
Hindsight would say Joe could of made other choices so could of the drunk guy...
In the moment thinking shows Joe was ending a potential threat before it got out of hand further...cuz once someone lunges like that or does the fake.punch shit...a fight is close to happening more times then not...and in the public arena with no refs and rules things could escalate very quick ..so Joe ending it quick is in his best interests from a self defense stand point..what if the guy had a knife on him..or grab something from.the bar or had like 6 friends around the corner...all things joe wouldnt know in the moment...so if someone is posting up and feint attacks you have to choose then and there fight or flight and whenever u have to make that choice then that means u were under threat...
Being drunk isnt an excuse to yell at people and lunge...and throwing punches as first response isnt the best decision either but that comes down to being nice or not...Joe isnt nice...
None of the above would work as justification in a court of law...
No need to get so worked up, lol. We're having a discussion here.
This is completely irrelevant IMO. You make an aggressive move, like the little dude in the video = you're ready to fight and you, as a grown man, should expect anything. If you can't fight - don't try to confront people over minor shit like getting slightly nudged.
I mean, that's just common sense, isn't it.
NO U.
Awesome, LOL; loved the last touch, too!Fixed.

Absolutely it does..
Self defense cases are incredibly hard to prove either way and usually results in settlements

It raised an inch because he was asleep before he could raise it any higher.Lol. His hand moved about an inch higher because he puffed his chest. You’re inventing the rest because you’re deep into defending joe and feel like you have to keep it going.

No way man. Read the thread, Joe is going to lose everything and he's probably going to prison for life.Nope, but I've unfortunately been involved in a number of street fights involving police, and worked at a number of large nightclubs in the city and it's pretty much common knowledge that failure to make physical contact without the possession of a weapon or deliverance of verbal threats is not a crime. Hell, even punching a guy is only misdemeanor battery (in california).
"A potential threat" lol shut the fuck up.. that dude was no threat for someone who fights professionally. You think that dude had anything for the professional mma fighter/kickboxer? You REALLY think that? The dude drunk dancing in the bar who is a foot shorter than him?
You cant respond a minimal threat with maximum force... Some of you guys probably think Joe would be justified to have shot and killed the dude. Fucking hilarious...
Remember this? Guy was put away for murder. A few people in here sound exaclty like how this dude acts in the interrogarion room
If self defense is hard to prove then All the more reason why acting like schilling will get u incarcerated and sued for a lot of money...
Do you believe people go to prison for punching someone in the face? Can't see how this is self defence. Joe going prison.
What I'm saying is, if both guys clearly want to fight, let them. It's just a fight, if nobody died or got seriously injured, what's the big deal. No, actually, it is not irrelevant. One guy should know better and know there is no threat. You honestly disagree with that? Joe didn't know he could fuck this little drunk dude up? The professional fighter? He couldn't have kept walking? lol
