Growing up going to bars in college, and then living in a small town and going to small town bars I have watched way too many drunk retards act like that and start swinging. One of the main reasons I dont go to bars. People are fucking dumb, I can drink in dozens of other places and not have to deal with the drunk guy that Joe dealt with.
I guess that's one way of putting it or another scenario Joe could have also said "excuse me" and walked entirely past him, Joe did nothing to avoid that confrontation and from his body language looks to me he was looking for it.
Most def premeditaded. They prob had some form of altercation before, Joe went to the bathroom to think it over and came up to the conclusion that "im knocking this MFer dead, i'll be worth it"...
Joe nudged the dude tot he side and walked by. The same thing any person would do at a carnival, a busy restaurant, a crowded festival. Nothing he did was "aggressive" until the guy shouted something and then lunged at him. Gently nudging someone out of your way as they stumble in front of you as you're walking to the bathroom is not a reason for someone to shout something at you, and then lunge at you when you turn around. The drunk guy at the bar, he was the aggressor, but you're taking his side for some strange reason.
Watch the video, watch him before Joe throws a punch. It's pretty clear.
I think violence should be avoided at all costs no lie and I also wouldn't bother fighting unless forced I think where we differ is I see the lunge as a force for Joe to fight or flight and he chose fight and its not surprising or wrong imo more so disappointing i guess
