Joe Schilling sucker punching drunk guy

This may be a reach from me, but consider the fact the only other time he went viral and got a lot of attention was for a similar stunt with that homeless dude that jacked off in his gym bathroom or something. Could be clout chasing. Seeing a drunk dude at a bar and whispering to his bud, "Hey get your phone out and watch this." after a few drinks doesn't seem like it's insane to think Joe would do.

Is it him that's posted it? <Lmaoo> Why on Earth would you watch that back and think "Yeah I look reasonable here, I'll post this up"

Seems a ridiculous excuse to me, am I supposed to believe that a white guy made a racist remark to another white guy?

Dancing to rap music = cultural appropriation = racism

<seedat>

Apparently he claims the guy was being “rude and racist towards the staff” before the whole thing, but there’s no specifics on what exactly he means by that. Either way, it seems like a douchebag move because of the initial aggressive push, which seems unwarranted, plus the fact that he’s a pro fighter and should’ve just walked away. It’s up to the restaurant to decide if a patron is being disorderly or needs to be asked to leave, not to a random wanna be vigilante tough guy on a whim. Seems like he was looking for an excuse to punch this dude from the get go, why the hell were people filming that exact spot? This guy also is against police violence, which is a bit ironic. Guess I’ll wait for the full backstory, but yeah, he should probably go to jail and be fined heavily so he can calm down for a bit.

"Dude just got in his face" some one who is clearly drunk just got in his face in an aggressive manner. Joe probably could have pushed him away but when angry drunk people start getting in your face, its best to not let them escalate it any further.
Did you even watch the video ? Schilling clearly walks up to him, not the other way around.

I might believe that if anyone else in the video looked upset at the dude, but he just looks like a typical dude who's had a few too many to drink and is embarrassing himself a bit, but being harmless.

...except that Leon is a proper threat and was bringing his hands up. This douche looked like an accountant. I think I would just have kept my distance and let him decide if he wants to step up.
I agree Joe has the ability to walk away but also what he did still didnt make him "wrong"

Honestly, I thought I had seen the worst this place had to offer but now that I'm seeing this many idiots side with Schilling, I've lost even more hope for this place. Quite literally all Joe has to do is keep walking, HE turns around and gets in buddies face, HE suckers him for absolutely no reason.

I'm convinced anybody siding with Joe on this one rides the short bus with a supervisor
1. It's not a sucker punch. It's just a punch.
2. There's most def a reason as to why Joe punched him. Maybe he had a shitty day, maybe the drunk guy said something, maybe Joe for some reason felt a threat? Im sure there's a reason. Wether or not this reason is justified enough to knock someone out is up for debate.

Schilling could hae tied both hands behind his back and still easily kicked that guy into unconsciousness. He was zero threat to him. His background as a very highy regarded pro kickboxer and much stronger and fitter person should end up with the police regarding his assault with great prejudice.

Joe. Touched. The. Guy. First. He was obviously looking for this fight.
Thats actually not true he touched Joe first and Joe extended his arm so he wouldnt keep moving left when he BUMPED into Joe

neither of them did shit wrong at this point ive bumped people like that and ive braced people that bumped into me it never came to blows

joe was in grave imminent danger......

From a tiny drunk man dancing awkwardly..
Yeah we all been there not all of us got out alive.

Even if a tiny drunk man dancing awkwardly are a douche you do what Bisping did.. Laugh and walk away.
If the guy was an asshole and racist towards the staff as Joe claims.. You let them handle it, I am sure a place that serves alcohol also have people on staff to handle such things.

It looks like Joe politely side steps him and then the guy talks shit. Joe should have walked away but looks like the guy started it to me.

lol. yeah, if he had a shitty day that's def a good reason.....

He posted it first but it got taken down by instagram. So now his damage control post is claiming that the guy was being racist, which we see nowhere in the video.

It's bad damage control anyway. The 2nd scenario is actually worse because it suggests intent before he even got involved with the guy (though obviously I'd feel less sorry for the guy if he was being racist, but given that at the start of the video he's having fun dancing with a girl who also seems to be having fun it seems unlikely he'd just been hurling racial slurs around).
