Joe Schilling sucker punching drunk guy

The video itself doesn’t look good but I’m waiting for the whole story. Far too easy to paint someone as the bad guy with only a 10 sec clip. There’s got to be more leading up to this. For all we know that drink could have just got done threatening to stab Joe.

edit: just watched the video again and the guy def “juked” at Joe right before he was hit. Joe neutralized the threat and walked away. I’m with Joe here, although if that video tells the whole story he arguably set the whole thing off by moving drunk tool out of his way. Drunken tool escalated it instead of ignoring it, and this is a classic example of the old Dave Chappelle skits “When keeping it real goes wrong”

Joe Schilling was always a mega douchebag. Typical hot head tough guy just looking for reasons to harm others who can't fight back. He is and will forever be a total pussy.

edit: the people who say the little dude got in his face are out of their minds. Joe is the one who literally walked up to him, not the other way around. Joe even walked past him at first and could have kept walking but no, he just had to turn around, get in the little dudes face and blast him. Lol if you are defending Joe you are trash.

"BUT BRO HE LIKE DIDN'T EVEN ACTUALLY THROW A REAL PUNCH HE JUST PRETENDED TO! WHY WOULD JOE GET AGGRESIVE?!!?"

Lol..this is the grey area with self defense...
People think u have be hit first or stabbed first or something physically has to happen to you to claim self defense..when in reality is the situation and present of danger that creates the self defense situation the guy was winding up for a punch, in other words he was winding to assualt joe...therefore the shots joe threw were self defense in nature..

That said ...as a trained fighter..and one guy being alittle intoxicated and the other sober a NICER person probably wouldn't have done this but theres no laws against being nice or not...

Joe isnt a nice person lol..this has been proven before

Joe nudged the dude tot he side and walked by. The same thing any person would do at a carnival, a busy restaurant, a crowded festival.
It was a little more than a nudge, a little more than a push. He was probably right in doing so considering the drunk guy stumbled in front of him.

Nothing he did was "aggressive" until the guy shouted something and then lunged at him.
Turns around when the guy says something is a form of aggression, instead of walking away he got in his space, saying the drunk guy was the aggressor because he may or may have been talking shit isn't clear. Even if he did, it is not grounds for self defense. I can't see how this video shows he lunged or initiated any form of an attack, it looks more like a flinch or flex to me.

It is going to be hard to argue Joe was the one in imminent danger when he the one who turned around and got in his face. On top of that, he's a professional prize fighter who had a significant size advantage and I believe also has a minor history of such.

Trained fighters are expected to have control.

They're certainly not meant to lose their shit and attack someone who says something that annoys them

Perfectly said

People saying Joe turned around with his fists balled up ready to hit him.
Lie.
People saying the guy didn't lunge at Joe.
Also a lie.

I would say Joe looks pretty calm when he turns around until the guy does his super cool bro lunge

That's not exactly what I'd call a "lunge". That's your basic tough guy, "get in someone's face and make them flinch" move, usually done by people who can't really fight, just boast. However, Schilling had already invaded his personal space by then. You could argue that the little guy had the right to push him by that point. But it clearly hadn't escalated to the point where Schilling had the right to take his head off.

God some straight retards in here. Dude is a pos, pushes the dude then the dude says something, because who wouldn't, then he just attacks him.
But that's not what happened at all. The drunk guy ran into him, and Joe barely nudged him out of the way, and then threw a punch when the other guy started to swing first. Good lord man, dont get drunk and run into people and then get upset when you get moved out of their way.

Schilling has loooooong been trash lol. Imma go rewatch some of his KO losses now...of which there are PLENTY

Lol. That is not “lunging” at someone.

Stop being over dramatic
The drunk guy clearly made a move of aggression towards Schilling and quickly found out that he fucked with the wrong bull
Nothing about that is a sucker punch, its just a sucker getting punched
"move of aggression"

This is one of the dumbest posts in sherdog history

The guy leaned into him to say something. How dumb and blind are you?

It wasn’t even an aggressive enough situation for the girl to even turn her head.

Trained fighters are expected to have control.

They're certainly not meant to lose their shit and attack someone who says something that annoys them

They're expected to be psychopaths that you need to be very wary of in their surroundings, could start throwing punches to your face just because you're tired and they think you wanna fight for no reason.

This is why people get punched in the face at the bar. They think "ah he's just trying to act tough but he cant throw a punch" and then the drunk guy isn't trying to make you flinch..and you get hit. His "Basic tough guy get in someone's face' is an aggressive act. He's attempting to intimidate Joe, he's trying to make Joe think "This guy is tough and he's going to hurt me" and Joe hurt him first. Life lessons aren't always fun.

Now you're making things up. The drunk guy ran into him ? Joe barely nudged him out of the way ? You're distorting reality.

He may have flinched but that was not a lunge. He wasn’t throwing down…
Totally man. He was just acting like he was going to do something. Again, he was being aggressive, trying to intimidate Joe, he was trying to make Joe think "This guy is scary and will hurt me" and Joe defended himself.

What an asshole. Hope he gets shot some day by messing around with people he doesnt know

Joe is walking in a straight line, the guy stumbles to his right, in front of Joe, Joe nudges him back to the left and keeps on walking. That's what happened, and then the guy played a stupid game, and won a stupid price.
