I was figuring it was his friends I just didn't know. Their reaction was if they knew it was going to happen. There wasn't any "holy shit" response or anything as you would expect. You can hear one of his friends casually say "And he's knocked out" like they knew that what was going to take place. Now they have the footage they wanted so Joe can post it and make some waves on the internet. I think in Joe's mind he thought he was in the clear since the drunk guy made some type of movement but I didn't see anything to justify that level of a response from Shilling. He aint the brightest bulb to post that shit.
 
Just watched the video, looks like a clear setup and joe wanted it on film. He clearly pushes the guy on purpose to start the shit with the guy, then ko's him. Drunk or not, a pro walks away, just like mike bisping was mature enough to do. Joe's gonna get sued and rightfully so.

The drunk guy is just minding his own business having fun at the bar, smiling, singing and dancing and everyone around him is having a good time until Joe pushes him for no reason. Then he could have walked away but turns back around and walks towards the guy and punches him in the face. Yeah sounds like self defense, great case you’ve got there Joe.
 
based on how he handled that mom pimping her son as a bullied youth, I think he may have observed something that didn't sit right with him and decided to see if this guy would attempt that to someone like himself. me thinks hes got a saviour vendetta given his life circumstances

You can tell the drunk dude knew he was being recorded when the waiter blocks the view you can see the drunk dude move to the side while looking at the camera. That’s when joe shilling shoved him aside.

I don’t know if it was his friends or some random person. Also, Joe did mentioned he was coming from a smoke break outside and probably had an altercation with him on his way out to smoke. The person probably saw Joe shilling coming back and took the phone out hoping to catch some action.

From the one camera angle - it's assault for sure. A smaller guy dancing in a shirt and tie, rightfully says something to Joe for pushing past him, and Joe sparks him out cold?! There's possibly a hint of the guy raising his hands, but to be honest - it was probably HIM trying to defend himself from this angry looking pumped skinhead. Joe didn't even make an attempt at backing off, de-escalation, even telling the guy to mind his own business. He should be punished for assault. The t-shirt doesn't help does it? "Ring Cage Parking Lot?!" Right - nice image there.

Stop. You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. You hire a lawyer to sue someone civilly. Jail time is not a possibility.

Criminal penalties, like jail or prison, are only available when you are being prosecuted for a crime. Generally by the state/subsidiary of the state (like a city).

There is a civil claim for battery but self defense is a defense to the claim. Potentially criminal assault, yes, but that isn’t something you can just hire a lawyer for. You can cooperate with prosecutors but that is ultimately not your call.

Also not the first time schilling posts a vid of him beating up a dude that obviously was no match for him.
