The point that Joe usually trying to make is that there is a vast gulf between those that train and those that don't. He knows that, but go watch any UFC in public and it's very clear a large segment of the male population doesn't. If he's talking about fighting with comedians, he's usually talking about fighting with reference to the general population. If he's talking about fighting with professional fighters, they're talking about fighting in a professional context. Of course his attitude is going to change, because it's a totally different context.
