Many calling for him to retire which after the career that he has had might not be a bad idea, some fighters have had a bit of a career resurgence by changing camps and making one last go at it.

Should Lauzon entertain the idea of a change for one last hurrah or since he has nothing left to prove take a winning fight and call it a career?

It's time to hang it up. The check for all of those wars has come due.

He needs to hang em up

This is a problem with combat sports.. it chews people up and spits them out. He might not have another career option other than coaching/teaching + has some degree of CTE now, but he still needs to pay bills and put food on the table the next 30+ years. There's no UFC retirement package.. guys like him are living off their ability to get their win bonus + performance bonuses. What happens to all these guys when they start losing and have to retire in their mid 30s?

He's fine. He wasn't out. Let him lose his consciousness a few times before making such a hasty decision like retiring.

The most logical step is coaching for Lauzon. He has tons of experience and fight IQ. Just a shame he cant display it anymore

Retire.

I don't think Joe trains full time at a pro intensity anymore. He spends a ton of time with his BJJ school.

He has nothing left to prove. The guy is a stud and was one of the most exciting fighters of his time.

When you are at the point of fighting your brother in your front yard it is time to hang it up.

Joe has his own little gym that gets good reviews.

Retire. I'm one of his biggest fans, and it was so hard to watch him take that punishment.

Retire. He's not an old man, shit I don't think he's even 35 yet, but he's an old fighter. Too many wars and it's caught up with him, big time. Hang up the gloves, coach, and spend quality time with the familia.

I'm surprised it's not unanimous... Retire.

Retire. He's taken a ton of damage and while he's never had great cardio, he seems to only have about 3 minutes worth of gas tank these days. He's still tough as nails and mentally game, but physically he's just shot.

He’s been one of my favorite fighters since tuf5 . He needs to retire

he has a degree in computer science. He can get a job

1 last major camp change n then see how it goes. would be cool 2 see him with trevor witman etc

Nothing left to prove anymore. Great athlete, great heart and seems to be a nice guy.
Better hang them up before his brain gets severely damaged.

I dont wanna see him take beatings like that anymore..... he should retire while he can still string a sentence together

Retire. He looks absolutely shot.
