Media Joaquin Buckley calls out Shavkat Rakhmonov in INTENSE speech *Update* Shavkat responds

Unlike Woodley, I think Buckley could actually have a second career as a rapper, just put a beat over this callout and it's practically a rap already

Whoever's doing X for Shavkat sucks, that doesn't sound like Shavkat at all
this lol. fighters letting managers run their account stinks

Yeah dude all I said from the beginning is that's a widely known racist term in America. That's it. I also said within this thread that with Shav not being American it's certainly possible he isnt aware of the context.

It's frankly bizarre how many enraged Karen responses that I got just for pointing out you don't say that shit to a black guy in America. Just like there are things you wouldn't say to a Hispanic guy or an Arab or whatever. Literally every culture has offensive terms.

Honestly it's pretty ironic the sheer amount of whining and crying I'm seeing over an objectively truthful statement. You guys either aren't Americans so don't get the context and violently refuse to learn anything or you are Americans and you're way too overly fucking political if someone pointing out a racial slur upsets you so much.
Oh look, a Karen projecting and calling others "Karen."

The problem are your silly, sanctimonious rants.

You talk about how people can't go into certain areas and use certain slurs or they won't come out alive. I've been called all kinds of slurs like cr@cker, h@nkey, etc. I never thought it gave me the right to kill or assault anyone. And to be fair, no one called me that unless they had a group of friends around to ensure they had a 5-to-1 fight if I got mad and took a swing.

If a non-white goes into a nice, 98% white community and starts yelling racial slurs, is it okay for the folks there to give them a beatdown? Because I'm 99% sure you'd be crying online about it and talking about how it set race relations back 100 years, etc. The reality is that almost never happens but this does.

What rant? You guys are fucking crazy lol. Literally arguing whether or not offensive terms exist. Hint: they do. the original comment I responded to that started all this was saying that Buckley was being dramatic in some way by being offended by Shav's comment. Yeah that's silly bullshit. ANY American black man being called a boy would take offense. Why? Boy has been an offensive term towards black men for generations. Literally going back centuries and is still used as a racist insult today. Would a black guy living somewhere else that doesn't have that racial history take offense? Well gee fuckin whiz probably not. I never advocated for anyone to commit violence but if you walk around specifically choosing to engage with people using the most offensive language possible violence will probably find you.

Respect is free.

Some kind of Sherdog class reunion going on here but maybe keep that shit on kkk.com this place is allegedly about mma

Everyone's free to say whatever they want, but consequences apply. Question for you, when conversing with someone from a different culture do you realize that cultures vary a lot and something that's inoffensive in one culture might be very offensive in another. I don't walk around on eggshells but if someone said don't call me this term because it's offensive in my language would you comply or would your attitude be more like fuck whatever your culture says, this word is fine in my culture so it's fine for me to address you that way?

For me, it's pretty simple to not refer to someone a specific way the very rare times things like this come up. Like some cultures find it offensive to wear shoes indoors. Would you say fuck your culture and track mud into their house or take your shoes off? I don't think it's crazy or unreasonable to be respectful and try to understand that cultures differ. If a slang term in my language was offensive to you and you asked me not to call you that I wouldn't. I don't understand why that's a big deal.

Sounds like you're the one whining. Again, no one cares. Maybe you'll get that one day.
Anyone that thinks anything I said in here is out of line is either a low iq meathead or a racist so I don't really give a fuck at all what you think, anymore than you care what I think I imagine. You guys stop quoting me to bitch and whine and the convo can end whenever you're ready.

Joaquin is an good fighter, but i doubt he has the TDD to beat Shavkat.

They should start calling him Joquin Cringely.

Yeah, nice 1 minute Wrestling Promo he cut there on Shavkat. He can use it after he gets sent directly to the WWE talent program after this fight.

You can rest well knowing you anonymously educated an internet forum about racism. Here's your gold sticker.

Shav should take the fight and just hold him down the whole time.
That would be fucking hilarious.

Yeah I know American race relations aren't necessarily known overseas that's why I wasn't up in arms about it. But if an American said that to another american I wouldn't buy they didn't know the context.
Agreed 100%. Even beyond race, anyone (in the US at least) calling anyone "boy" is derogatory, condescending at best.

We use the N word (in spanish) all the time in here. Basically the darkest person of a group is called that and it is not offensive.

Americans are pretty weird to the rest of us. I know context is different with slavery and all of that but it is funny for us.
Same, and I understand. Here (in Spain) I've encountered several Americans visiting that get offended (for who, exactly!?!) at reading or hearing the word negro. It must be tough having absolutely no understanding or perspective of the rest of the world or history.
