Jon Jones has no real interest in fighting Aspinall, because he knows he will probably lose.

He won't. Look at Khalil Rountree vs Hill to see how JJ and Tom would go. JJ defeats him by 4-1... Tom is iced in a first round, JJ fights vs the best while keeping his ground as a brave warrior.

Jones doesn't deserve to fight Tom first, after what he did. Make him fight Pavlovich or Almeida first. If he wins then he can have a shot at Tom.

Actually Tom doesn't deserve to fight Jones. He'd lose 4-1 I'm pretty sure. He hasn't the heart to keep going and pressuring like JJ has. He has speed but not smart striking, just predictable linear entries with fast hands. Not near the level of a high level striker, more like a heavy hands swinging desperately. That works vs Pavlovich or Curtis who aren't high level strikers. JJ would just keep moving in L , kick his knees, then his bouncy would diminish. He'd clinch to stall. In the second round, Tom wouldn't have the same bouncy and Jones' cardio would take over... It'd be a good fight but not even the best HW of now would match JJ's grit, precision with his jabs, grappling to mat return to tax his energy... And he'd end up being outclassed in a convincing way, as he blitzes quickly firstly and once that bounciness is gone, his energy is spent, he becomes like, let's say, what Reyes became after round 3. Except Reyes still had a tested cardio in LHW and smart lateral movements, so he wasn't so reliant on his legs. Which means by round 2 he'd be like Reyes was in round 3/4... And the threat of a KO would be kinda big in the first round but not bigger than Reyes. Reyes had smart movement, he'd step back, pick his shots. Tom is a sprinter, so while faster and more powerful, it's easier to counter to whichever fighter has a high IQ and can see the pattern of his attacks and take the attrition. Jabs as his stance is open, kicks to the knees... A scare in round 1 and maybe 2, but by round 3 he's already tamed to be dominated until the horn. That's why I'd say he'd take at most 2 rounds from JJ and get worked over 3 or 4 rounds, as he's dependant on his bounciness that when gone, flat footed and low stamina becomes easy to be picked apart.

Which shot? He didn't fight JJ. He wouldn't beat Jon Jones. Or Pereira for that matter. He beats bad HWs like Gane. Take an elite LHW that can make HW like Pereira or even current JJ, and he wouldn't have the belt... Which he will lose soon btw. JJ is still gonna take him at least. I am saying, he is overhyped AF while current elite LHWs are all better than him. Current JJ past his prime is still capable of outlasting him and making it look like DC 1 ...

There's no other fight, that's the fight JJ should do and retire. No one wants to see him fighting Pereira, Alex is a LHW. He wouldn't even be ranked in HW. That's absolutely THE fight. And done, JJ has nothing else besides Tom. Him vs Tom should be done already ASAP.
