Do you think 'The Jimmy Kimmel' show should have been cancelled?

That's such a poor narrative. His contract was up in May 2026 and it's still more expensive to can him now, than wait until his contract expires.

76% decline since 2016 and a 47% YTD decline. Disney has fought government encroachment in the past, and yeah they probably would wait till his contract was up but they're not crying about canning the guy.

Sherdog. He said loads of people on sherdog were celebrating. Keep up, Mr. White Male Victim crybaby. Dehumanizing anyone who disagrees with you. It’s no wonder you don’t understand empathy.
The moderators have deleted that stuff, they did a pretty good job for the most part.

I guess Charlie Kirk never got shot because his body is no longer there.

It should be noted that he hasn't actually been fired. He's essentially on paid leave. The show isn't even officially cancelled either.

Check out the time and date of the post I linked to.
The only date and time that is important is the facts about Robinson and when Kimmel made his statements.

As I said, I don’t agree that the FCC should be involved. My point was that low IQ morons like @Alpha_T83 can be misinformed by people like Kimmel and in a time of contention, there should be some responsibility for your platform for what you say.

You can refuse to play the game where your opposition have completely stacked the deck.

Or you can say, "you know what, this is bs. This isn't how things should be. But you made it this way and you arent using these rules only to censor our side".

This is why the far left get so upset about twitter. Fine when it was an echo chamber for their views silencing everyone else. Not happy when such a one sided shit show was shut down and now both sides are being censored its not OK.

Some lies are worse than the ones from Jimmy,

There is some debate about that because Kimmel gets millions of views on YouTube for his clips. It's not the part that matter for me though- things have gone awry when the FCC is threatening for the sort of statements he made and threatening to go after others.
These people stand for nothing. Fuckin zero principles. Just partisan hacks. They’re pathetic.

Again, I'm not saying they weren't going to fire him at the end of the current season. But firing him mid season is always a worse financial choice, unless you have someone to immediately take over for him. That's because, as with any abrupt firing, you can be liable to owe your employees severance and have to pay out part of their remaining contract.

The only way what you are saying will make any sense, is if they get out of the late night business entirely, and don't replace Kimmel with anyone. It's possible. Late night TV shows don't yield the ratings they used to across the board.

But assuming ABC wants to keep their late night show and replace Kimmel, this wasn't planned. Because they'd either fire him mid-season and instantly replace him with someone else (didn't happen), or they would fire him after the season and replace him with someone else.

Logic doesn't lie.

So, what are the facts about Robinson? Tell us?

Don’t worry the pearl clutching MAGA-Doggers in this thread will ignore that or wait for Libs of TikTok or CatTurd to spin it for them. Trump is so soft he is triggered by 4 broads on The Fucking View.
It’s actually funny to see the conservative movement who you’d associate with toxic masculinity gravitating to insecure and/or effeminate men like catturd, Kirk, gunter eagleman, Jordan Peterson, Shapiro, gaetz, crowder. These are the voices of the supposed alpha males conservatives claim to be.

well he's on leave, not fired. And I didn't say they planned to let him as of sept 2025; just his abysmal decline in ratings probably didn't cause any shed tears. This is more akin to CBS ending the late show with Colbert than anything else. They just got external factor that was basically a gentle push to go for it.

Gotta laugh at guys like zazen talking about good faith whilst being so ridiculously biased, childish and unreasonable in debate with a left does know wrong, right is all wrong stand at everything
He is notorious for making long stories about how he views stuff. Just liberal fan faction .

That external factor was the federal fuckin government. Anyone not disgusted at that is gross.

So if they didn't plan to get rid of him when they suspended him, then you're basically admitting that FCC pressure caused them to suspend him. There is no other explanation.

And that's a first amendment violation by ABC. When a company colludes with the government, that is a State Action. That means ABC is bound by the 1st Amendment when it comes to Kimmel's firing. That's how these things work.

Because again, no matter what he says/does, it's always cheaper to either replace him immediately with someone else, or replace him between seasons. ABC won't willingly burn $10M+ to shut the show down for 6 months, even if they are pissed at what he said.

You’re a psycho. Lol at thinking the federal fuckin government should be able to revoke your license for protected speech that doesn’t violate any terms. It’s amazing that right wingers are celebrating the federal government intervening on something like this. Fuckin cowards.
You're still arguing oughts. But that's good. It's actually progress. At least you've now tacitly realized this isn't a violation of the first amendment, but rather a violation of what you think ought to be happening.

Jimmy Kimmel did violate FCC standards, by the way. And all three networks have been violating FCC standards for years. We finally just have an administration that dared to verbalize it, and that really makes communists like you butthurt.

You don't believe in free speech at all, which is why you STILL haven't condemned the free speech violations against millions of Americans by the administration. All you want is to live a consequence free life.

We've been over this. Jimmy Kimmel did not violate FCC standards.

The ONLY power the FCC has to regulate late night TV after 10PM is for obscenity. That's it. And what Kimmel said does not pass the Miller test for obscenity. This has already been discussed in this thread.

So no, the FCC had zero power to regulate Kimmel's speech here.

Yep, it wa a minor push by the FCC. I'm not denying that. I'm saying ABC isn't crying about it. They have shown they are ready to stand ground against government encroachment (Florida vs disney). ABC not fighting over Jimmy just showed they viewed him as dead weight.

And that's the problem. Even a minor push is a 1st amendment violation.

So why are all of you MAGA supporters bending over backwards to pretend this isn't a first amendment violation? You keep pushing these narratives that don't change the fact that you're supporting tyranny.

It absolutely is a violation of the first amendment boot licking partisan coward. You believe in using the federal government to silence your opponents over protected speech.
