And for decades it was what leftists said it was. Things are changing. Deal with it.
If anybody wants further proof that this wasn`t some accident, all you have to do is go look at his official Youtube video of the monologue and the description posted under it:
Trump took to Truth Social to give his thoughts on NFL games, his Treasury Secretary announced that they have a framework of a deal to sell TikTok, we hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize the kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, Trump continues to talk about the construction of his $200 million dollar ballroom, on Friday he stopped by the always-friendly morning gang at Fox and Friends, Klan Mom Marjorie Taylor Greene is not interested in listening to people she disagrees with, the Emmys were last night and our friends Stephen Colbert & John Oliver won some awards, and Guillermo does tequila shots with the stars!
This is description is STILL up TODAY calling the shooter MAGA. You can`t change what Kimmel says in the video, but you absolutely can change how you describe it to get away from this obvious lie and show SOME remorse at it.
Instead they double down on it, leaving it up for people. It`s on purpose.
All he said was MAGA was eager to point fingers after the shooting, you guys have been wildly and dishonestly misinterpreting what he said to mean that he was trying to lie and say the shooter was MAGA.
Look at this twitter post directly after the shooting.
It’s not one you can win in court. To lose a liable case you have to prove they had no reason to believe this. Pictures weee circulated online with him in Trump apparel and its known that his family were devoted MAGA supporters. He has very easy plausible deniability. So unless they have him on tape or in emails or text saying he knows it’s not true, he’s won’t be taken to court.Kimmel said on Monday the shooter was a MAGA guy even after all the evidence was released over the weekend that he was a leftist. And, you know, the fact he shot Charlie Kirk and not a leftist.
It's a pretty blatant fucking lie dude.
I do not know why you quote me. I care less about what you say than almost anyone else here. And that's a low bar.

Why are you being dishonest about what he actually said, if you're so confident that what he said was not meant to imply that the shooter was MAGA? Why not post the whole quote, instead of your dishonest minimization of it?, you guys have been wildly and dishonestly misinterpreting what he said to mean that he was trying to lie and say the shooter was MAGA.
I would say that it was conservative Christians who started cancel culture. Back around the Reagan administration, the Christian conservatives started to get political and started boycotting corporation, writers, and shows they didn't like. Often over things like positive portrayal of gays, abortion, and women's lib. That said, we have to acknowledge that it was largely his side—leftists, liberals, etc.—who really pushed the whole cancel culture in the first place. That’s just a fact. So, in this case, I can’t deny there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing Kimmel reap what he has sown.

Do you support Trump? Because thats basically what he does every day.I'm upset about people who continue to blatantly lie about other blatant lies, while they pretend to have some moral high ground.
It`s frankly rather gross.

There's no doubt Kimmel's lie was intentional and I'm not surprised this description hasn't been changed, or that Kimmel hasn't tried to walk back his words and apologize for lying. He doesn't care. The only thing he cares about is that he doesn't have his show to peddle even more lies and fan the flames of division across the country. Did he think nobody was paying attention to the information and evidence that was revealed about Kirk's assassin? What other motive could Kimmel possibly have had by intentionally lying about the assassin's motive, other than to stir shit up. Does he want more violence or something?
He didn't lie about the assassin's motive, you're lying about what he said.

'Free Speech' refers to the government not being able to find or imprison people related to all statements that are not direct threats or calls to violence.
However, a person's speech may have consequences from their employers.
If someone praises murder the government can't touch them, however their employer may not want to be associated with people of such character and choose to end their employment.
Other employees & customers may not like to hear an employee be in favor of their murder over a political disagreement.
And in sports & entertainment morality clauses are common.
Freedom of association & freedom to end association.
Freedom of speech, but not freedom of consequence.
“The MAGA gang [is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it.”
He also compared Donald Trump’s reaction to Kirk’s death, saying it was “how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish.”
You said you only supported them in 2023, yeah? Here's you a few months out from the election in 2024:Then prove it.
You won’t.
Still had a job to do, did they? Weren't "genociding" anyone at that time, eh? Hmm...I wonder what changed your perspective all of a sudden...I don’t think he’s trying to drum up support for Hamas. I think it is importing to remember that yes there are plenty of innocent people getting caught in the crossfire. It’s tragic and we should empathize with those people. Israel still has a job to do though. Any nation worth a damn is going to war for its people if you 10/7 them.
@Confucamus since you won’t respond but are liking posts arguing (poorly) with me, I take it that you are in fact cool with cancel culture? All I see is bald faced hypocrisy. If you don’t believe in cancel culture, you shouldn’t cheer for it when you’re happy about the target. This is where having a backbone and strong moral principles comes into it. You have to resist the temptation to celebrate it when it happens to the other side, or it will just perpetuate. Otherwise your argument is just hollow. Now’s your chance to prove you believe in the things you say.
You guys don’t even have a reason to be canceling him anyways. He criticized the administration and right wing media. He didn’t say anything negative about Charlie or celebrate his death.
Uh-huh, and that's a whole lot different than what you said. The implication is clear. You can deny it all you want, but Jimmy Kimmel will still be fired for his obvious lies.I have repeatedly.
we hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize the kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them
What exactly did he say? What was in the article didn't realy say much.
That is media today. After every shooting the first thing they do is find out the persons politics. For those who haven’t seen it, here’s what Kimmel actually said during his monologue:
Nowhere in that monologue does Kimmel say anything disparaging about Kirk, nor does he lie. Some have claimed that the “anything other than one of them” part is false, but that’s not true. Right after the shooting, on social media and even here, people were immediately speculating that the shooter was transgender, despite there being no suspect in custody at the time. Kimmel’s statement was a factual observation about attempts to mischaracterize the shooter, not a lie.
For fucks sake you had Brian Kilmeade on Fox News on the 10th say “Or involuntary lethal injection or something. Just kill 'em.” in regards homeless people and he just had to "apologize". What he said was 100x worse than Kimmel
