Squat felt SOOOOOO much better than last week, back in the groove now. Wanted 10 on my AMRAP set so bad but i started to lean forward and lost it coming out of the hole, back/core was just too tired. Happy with 9 though, esp. since it was probably 347-351 pounds depending which plates i was using. Looking more and more like 500 pounds has a possibility to fall in April when i compete, but i dont want to jinx myself :cool:

Did my front squats ATG today, threw in a little extra volume just because i felt like my PC could use it getting out of the hole

Need to finish building my reverse hyper so i can actually do these with some weight comfortably, by next weeks squat session hopefully it will be done.

My AMRAP set for 3 weeks from now is 365, ive done 360x5 during Madcow about a month and a half ago, so i think 6 or 7 is definately doable

AARRGGGHHH, haha, wanted 10 on both squat and bench and i got 9.8 on both of them, i knew i shouldnt have tried it but ego got me, had to do my second roll of shame ever.

I think i would have gotten 10 if i had a hand-off, i didnt realize it would make such a big difference, it definately does though. I feel so much tighter and the reps are so much crisper when i have a hand-off

Focused on being super strict with the rows, can feel the difference when you dont cheat at all

Dips and LTE's were meh.....triceps were FRIED after this workout

So i decided to switch from 5/3/1 to Matt Gary singles for my deadlift, try to fix my form problems by working on singles. Tonight was humbling to say the least, ill post more about it in my form check thread when i bump it

Box Squat was a parallel box PR, catching up to my standard squat PR, box squats have always lagged for me because i use the stretch reflex so much when i squat

few things, i am way weaker once i drop my hips like that, like probably almost 100 pounds weaker, what does that mean exactly? hamstring weakness? glute weakness? or is it just that i havent been doing it right and this is a new motion for me? Seems crazy that dropping a little bit more takes all my power out of the lift. i squat high bar for information purposes, thanks for any info

i think ive been living a lie about how good my deadlift is, i think my real max is like 385 or something

pretty bummed about how hard some of those singles were
 
Its rough knowing you have high% singles to hit. If your off in the slightest you k ow it. I am planning my next move in regards to deadlifting now.

i really prefer singles though, i just hate sets of 5 or something in that ballpark, become such a grind after the third rep, mentally and physically fatiguing more than anything
 
For me I know the first few singles tell the story for the day for me. I just dread knowing I have like 8 and the first two feel a ton. Its going to get ugly at that point.

the one of the deadlift singles in my last workout post, i put it up in my form check thread too

I ended up not staying in Sedalia, they found me a load right away and sent me off to stay in St. Charles, like 30 minutes outside St. Louis instead. Thanks for the info though, thats the major problem with my job is i never know where ill be and how long i will be there for
 
I could have helped you out w bjj in St Charles but not a lifting gym
