Jan is a better striker than Izzy

He's a good striker who has a big size and reach advantage over all the other MWs. He's not some untouchable striking magician that Joe Rogan would like to have people believe. That Costa performance really made people forget about the Kelvin, Romero, and Italian dude fights.
He doesnt have a size advatnage

The guy naturally walks at around 92kg and there's guys like Costa and Romero who rehydrate to 100kg

Second ever?

What in the world do yall base this on? It can't be off of what actually happened in the cage.

In 4 of his last 6 fights his striking has been average as hell. Outstuck by Jan, Could not do anything significant with his striking on Romero or Silva, and was getting tagged all over the cage by little ass Gastelum.

So who would you rank as a better striker at MW? Machida? He's a career LHW with a couple fights at MW. Or who else?

I'm satisfied to just say Jan is a better cage fighter head to head than Adesanya. No skill exists in a vacuum.

I don't know who I would put 1, 2, 3, 4 etc... don't feel like thinking that hard. But what I do know Izzy is not #2

Well, if you don't give me any alternatives I don't really get what your point was. Let me know when you can say who are better MW strikers, other than Anderson.

Terrible thread, so here’s a question:

Should a leg kick that’s perfectly checked count as:

(a) one landed strike for the guy who threw it

(b) a failed strike attempt for the guy who threw it

(c) a failed attempt plus a strike landed for the checker

(d) a strike landed for both

Strike count is unofficial and doesn’t really matter anyway, so I guess the real question is how you would personally score a checked kick. If two guys each landed 15 identical punches in the round, and fighter A also threw three leg kicks which fighter B checked, and fighter B landed let’s say one leg kick that lands clean, who gets the round?

Also, at what point (in terms of size differential) does winning not equal better? If Petr Yan fights Oleynk and eventually gets hit clean and knocked out, or even just fails to win a decision because he keeps getting hit harder than he can deliver himself, would we say he’s the inferior striker? Probably not.

"Blachowicz outlanded Adesanya 18 to 13 in Round 1, 23 to 21 in Round 2, 24 to 21 in Round 3, 14 to 11 in Round 4 and 28 to 12 in Round 5. 184: Total strikes landed by Blachowicz. By comparison, Adesanya landed 99."

By the Numbers: UFC 259 (sherdog.com)

100lbs difference is a bit different than 20. I think the answer is one weight class.

It surprised me, because Jan is quite slow and lumbering to be honest. And he more than held his own in the striking with the supposedly fast and elusive guy.

This isn't an opinion but a factual statement supported by clear evidence.

I don't want to hear a thing about Izzy being the best striker anymore. He got out struck and beaten on the feet in a kick boxing match by Jan.

Jan is a better, more technical striker than Adesanya.

I rejoice in this cold hard FACT and I bask in your sorrow.

Well Jan beat him so your right.

Jan definitely outstruck him it's laughable how Gynosanya thought he would just go up and get the belt. Jones would have demolished him and we won't see that now.

You got me bro, you're so cool.

May I help you?

lol. You tell him. You are right.

I tried to tell the people how that would all go down. But, all I got back was a load of mmath. In this fight Jan was clearly the better striker/fighter. And it was his overall well rounded game, and brilliant gameplan that made it all obvious for us to see.
