Crime Jan 6 feelings

You know, I think I'll repost part of something I put up yesterday. The context is concerning the things which have followed from January 6th, and the creation of the political environment which allowed January 6th to happen. The TLDR is that I watched the Democrats and media create an environment of distrust in elections for five years prior to January 6th happening - repeatedly, intentionally, and at multiple levels of discourse. As such I find the pearl clutching that follows from people really distrusting elections to be blatant partisan hackishness that I'm largely toning out most of the outrage circus - and it is a circus - because I have trouble interpreting it as anything but self serving political maneuvering. Sorry, you can't foment distrust in elections for five straight years then clutch your pearls and pretend to be outraged when the other side doesn't trust an election, then pull a "how could this happen!?!??!" routine, and have me take you seriously. I think it says a lot about the partisan priors of many here that they just jump right on board with the whole theatre they're putting on in Washington over this.

I'm sorry but, again, as an outsider looking in, I listened to your popular discourse around elections be about how they were stolen for roughly five years prior to January 6th - pretty much right around the time Trump won. Any time someone comes into a discussion presenting any sort of rhetoric about stealing elections as a Trump problem, rather than a bed that the US as a whole, both sides, made over the course of a half a decade and culminated in a skeezy politician taking advantage of that political atmosphere, it sets off my bullshit alarm. I can't accept these histrionics from a party that embraces a woman like Stacey Abrams, who denied her election loss in Georgia because it shows they don't give a shit about election denial until they win. I can't accept these histrionics about attacking the integrity of elections seriously from a media and political establishment that spent years going on about how Russia meddled with the 2016 election because it shows that the side upset about it now is perfectly willing to do it when it suits their purposes. I can't accept these histrionics from a from a media and political establishment that, just months before, was pre-emptively calling the election into questioning the other way because they were using that same playbook then crying foul when it went against them. People were boarding up windows across the country prior to the 2020 election not because of Trump, but because the election had been thrown into question prior to it happening by those aligned against Trump - and it is stomach turning to see people uncritically coming in and sayin "How dare Trump draw the integrity of elections into question!" The side that hates the guy had been doing it for a half a decade - so the false outrage over what happened elides the real problem which was created by both sides over the past half decade. If this were anything close to an honest discussion, rather than one aligned along political lines, people would be coming in saying "Well shit, we both really need to stop calling elections into question" rather than "See? See what the other side did? See? This is one of the worst things in American history and THEY did it." Utterly disingenuous rhetoric you're jumping on board with here.

All I have to say is, steer clear of any imbecile that compares Jan 6th to 9/11. Easiest way to avoid the lowest forms of subhuman life imho
LOL the easiest way to avoid subhuman life is to put you on ignore.

But that seems to be your goal so you don't have to answer any difficult questions so, nah.

I know that the networks airing these hearings are going to very disappointed in the ratings.
They're just trying to keep the fear of MAGA flame alive a bit longer in hopes that Trump announces he's running for the presidency so that they can start running plays from that sweet, sweet anti-Trump media playbook. It's easy mode ratings after that.

donald trump lost the election. unless you're a maga muppet thats going to cry about it your orange messiah losing the election for the rest of your life and scream fraud everywhere outside of a courtroom,, there's really not much to be felt.
you mean like the libtards did??? what comes around goes around.. now look at ya... we all know how sad your life is no need to tell us

Beating cops with weapons, injuring over a hundred so you can storm the capital and stop the certification of a presidential election is = jackass shit? Derp.
Still not coping with losing well I see.

...yeah, it totally wasn't jackass shit. /s

Lol TS your male friend almost cried .. must not be mature enough for politics. It was not Pearl Harbor, 9/11 like some of the dems pretend it was ant it was not nothing that some hardcore Trump people claim. It was wrong incident maybe by some fbi and others, who knows. But it’s being such over played and over hyped I think the people in the middle are numb to it.

jackass shit is drunk sports fans vandalizing a car after a championship game. Beating cops with weapons and injuring like 130 so you can bum rush the capital and delay the presidential election is not. How the hell is that over your head lol?

The level of concern any particular person has about the Jan 6 protest illuminates their malleability more than anything.

Anyone convinced that was actually an insurrection could likely be convinced of just about anything.

i know. kind of like how the ghost of hugo chavez, chinese thermostats, obama's microwaves, and italian satellites stole the 2020 election.

hey, do you remember that one fairy tale that starts off with "once upon a time, a senile old man with dementia pulled off the greatest heist in the history of the nation, all without leaving a trace of evidence behind!"?

donald trump recited that one everywhere outside of a courtroom. evidence so damning it doesnt belong in a courtroom. evidence so damning that only a crackhead pillow salesman is allowed to see any of it! the little boy who cried fraud blew his fraud whistle everywhere outside of a courtroom, as his catch-all big baby sore loser excuse to try to downplay losing the election, and some of the most gullible sacks of shit in the country actually believed it.

hundreds of these adult toddlers even decided to storm the capitol because they believed in these fantasies and fairy tales, and they were mad that cheeto benito lost the election and couldn't bully the courts, or even his own running mate and vice president, into bending the knee to his every demands.

but you want to talk malleability? surely youre not just another one of those short bus election fraud flat-earthers on a completely different spectrum, right? no? alright, so why don't you go ahead and tell us who rightfully won the 2020 election?

What a dumb thread.

Lol @ TS friend about to cry over some morons taking selfies, but no mention of him crying over the months of riots, billions in damages and many deaths caused by St.george (small g on purpose) BLM rioters.

Typical Dumbocrat hypocrisy.

wow, a whole 130 injuries?! that was a day ending in y in nearly every city summer of 2020.

and lolz @ "with weapons." if they BROUGHT weapons, they wouldn't have been using a fire extinguisher.

yeah, nothing is further from jackass shit like... a "shaman" wearing a bison head taking selfies in the capital. definitely not jackass shit. /s

I don't really care about the people that broke into the capitol. They were the useful idiots. I don't think they deserve to be the only group prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for trespassing too hard with a misguided protest

I am however very interested in getting to the bottom of Trump and Co's attempts to use the court system to dishonestly throw out election results. It was basically an attempt at a coup through shady judges. If they had a few more politicians (Pence) going along with it we could have had a much worse mess on our hands than we already did.

Go after the big suits. Slap the people walking past some barricades and taking pictures with a fine and move on.

but thats the thing, the small guys always take the rap for it. politicians are all crooks. they always get to walk. the only time they ever have to face any real consequences is when they get caught stealing money from some other rich person, and they get caught lying about it afterwards.

and the farther up it goes, the more underlings they have that are willing to take the fall for them. we learned that after the russiagate bullshit, where 36 people either pleaded guilty, or were found guilty, and many people went to prison just for going to bat and lying for one guy. the same dude who threw them all under the bus. "i hardly even knew the guy." "i never liked the guy." "i didnt even know he worked for us." i dont know why so many people are loyal to a guy who's loyalty only lies in himself. he'll stab anybody in the back just for looking at him the wrong way. he's shown it time and time again

theyre all a bunch of crooks anyways. every last one of them. you dont get into politics if youre not good at lying, cheating, and stealing. no such thing as an honest politician. theyre all working for their own interests. pretty much nothing will ever come out of the capitol riots, and all of diaper don's efforts to undermine democracy and steal an election. those guys are way too far up the ladder. the people to take the fall are just the normal everyday short bus retards who put on a dumb little red hat and stormed the capitol. they're the ones who get criminal records and get to experience jail, all because of their blind loyalty towards some dude who threw each and every one of them under the bus and pardoned the guy who stole money from them instead.
