One complaint; I'm not a big fan of the guy playing Lex.
I don't anticipate that changing after this movie

I don't think Metallo is in this one. But I'm sure he'll appear in future DCU movies. There's so many Superman villains we haven't seen in the big screen yet (Braniac, Metallo, Parasite, Solomon Grundy, Atomic Skull, Bizarro, Mongul).
I'm still of the belief that BvS should have used Bizarro instead of Doomsday as the villain. Way too early for Doomsday and the origin they gave him was pretty much more in line with Bizarro anyway

Don’t you just love when people bitch and moan about stuff without bothering to check that it has been around since before by parents were old enough for kindergarten?
Agreed. Showing what you know for folks is hard!

100%

Not sure if it would have saved the movie (it wouldn't have), but it would have been much more compelling

Gunn is great at showcasing animals (Rocket, Cosmo the Spacedog). I'm not a fan of Krypto but in Gunn I trust. Plus I think I know how he will use Krypto. I won't go into details in case I'm right but let's just say it's similar to Dum-E in Iron Man (2008).
True! If anyone can pull off animals in a movie, it is Gunn. I'd be more worried if it was anyone else, but I just didn't expect Superman's dog to help kick off the new DCU. Makes me a bit more unsure of what the tone of this world is going to be like, but, maybe that's a good thing. Things have been a bit too predictable nowadays, and this has a different feel to it.

Completely fair. It definitely has its own feel to it, but it's still a CW show and that has its own flavor as well.

I was always of the belief that Gunn could've taken the S&L characters after S3 of the show and started the DCU with them and an already established story, but I think those with more knowledge and experience than I know what they're doing.
That could've been awesome.

Really liked the trailer, everything seemed to be exactly in place as it "should". The casting seems well thought out and implemented. Taylor Pruitt Vince seems like the most perfect Pa Kent. I like how David Corenswet really moves like an awkward nerd while he's Clark Kent.

Too over the top to me. I don't like 10 cameos and monsters. Watch the original Reeve movie. It's basically a sexy drama. I'm so tired of the stupid over the top stuff and trying to one up other comic movies.

The scene of Supes just protecting the girl from debris is awesome and all you need.

What have been better to cast batista or the Rock as Lex. Lois looks basic. Pa kent looks old af and hillbilly.

TBH looks pretty shit

Only DC movie i liked was Justice League and even then I've only rewatched a few times

interesting mix of elements, looks like it will be entertaining, cant say i am smitten with all the aspects but also holding some reservations until i see more
