Jacare is evolving into a killer!

schlemenko, lindland, lawler, kennedy and herman are solid wins for anyone, may be not top 5 wins, but solid none the less...

He looked fantastic last night. Herman is a tough guy and Jacare completely dominated him in every position before submitting him easy in the first round.

Ha ha ha ha ha, no.... just no.

Well, that is how he's beaten a decent list of opponents who are actually known for their stand-up and KOed other fighters lately.

Jacare and Werdum have both become quite good with their stand-up. You just don't see that much growth usually. It's good to visibly see guys really working to improve their game.

Demian Maia - A world beater in BJJ, yet shows very little improvement in his striking.

Palhares - Leg Lock specialist, terrible standup, nothing more to say.

Aoki - Submission magician, recently imroving his standup.

These three are definitely false.

Palhares' standup isn't terrible, but sometimes he freezes. That's not terrible striking, it's nerves.

Maia's striking is vastly improved from what it used to be. He more than held his own with Munos and Weidman on the feet, who were supposed vastly superior standing.

Aoki has very solid Muay Thai, especially since he started training at Evolve. He's won more than one fight on the feet, and his last fight he broke McKee's face and forced him to tap. People confuse his chin for striking ability.

he wont be champ tho he is the bjj version of koscheck

very fast explosive, and an exceptional athlete

Jacare got KTFO by Mousasi already

By an upkick by Mousasi that would have ended pretty much anyone's night...whats your point? He has a higher sealing than anyone else in the MW division not named Weidman right now. Jacare would decisively defeat Belcher, Belfort, Bisping, Stann, and Sonnen. He'd probably have his toughest fights against Lombard, Weidman, and Okami out of the top 10 IMO.

The way these threads have been popping up, I would say Jacare is evolving into a cult leader

Not sure if that one worthless fucking idiot realizes that Gegard is a pretty good striker and nothing for a bjj world champ to be embarrassed about getting KOed by (or that it was an upkick, thusly having literally zero bearing on striking ability)? Probably not. World is full of idiots anyway and they're over represented on Sherdog

I think what separates him from some of the other guys you listed is just overall athletic ability.

maia's standup has improved significantly...he just briefly forgot about his bjj, now he's bringing it all together.

Jacare is a force...but I want to see him against a top five guy

This - Maia has some basic striking now.
