When Prost won his forth title (with a vastly superior car), scoring 4-3 against Senna, he was told that Senna would be his teammate for the next season, despite his efforts to avoid this

Prost knew he couldn't handle it, Senna put tremendous pressure on him when they were teammates at McLaren, so he suddenly retired

On the morning of the day Senna died, he said "I miss you Prost". Rivalry was the fuel that drove them both, racing was no longer the same
