"Tomorrow night is one and done"
"This is my one shot, my 8 mile moment"
"I get to prove I'm the better fighter"

I love the guy but come one, you are 0-3 and 0-1 in MMA, even if he wins, mathematically speaking, Alex is still the better fighter.

This main and Co-main has got to me the 2 most licking in confidence pair of fighters ever.

Izzy sounds like he is trying to convince himself that he can win
Mazvidal sounds like a guy who know he can't win and is happy to be fighting his last fight in his home town.

He's speaking as if though if he doesn't beat him this time then he himself won't get another chance at Pereira.

He has to make "THIS ONE" count in his favor. Sorry TS you are just slow.

Sure, one and done usually means I want yo fight this dude multiple times, hope someday I get to be as fast as you.

He is in the head space that this is the only fight that matters. It's so that he will not be psychologically affected by the previous three losses.

It's not hard to understand. it's a competitor mentality.

Don't know why Sherdog constantly expects these fighters to be humble and self-critical. You don't get to be champion without having steadfast self-confidence, to the point of irrationality
