- Izzy has a chip on his shoulder from his time being the only black kid in NZ schools/neighborhoods.

A) yes, 100%, this is "manufactured beef"

DDP played his hand PERFECTLY.

He knew exactly whose Jimmies he needed to rustle and how to rustle them.

Adesanya is also a smart businessman and took the bait in what I assume was primarily an effort to increase his income, and arguably an effort to book a favorable matchup to allow himself to continue his lucrative position as UFC champion.

I doubt DDP gets past Whitakker to bring it all to fruition, but both these guys knew what they were doing in laying out the framework to promote their potential fight.

Conor, imo, set the example being followed of : "talk shit to everyone" so that you have multiple opportunities and angles of promotion for fights now and even down the line.
I'm sure there were others before him, particularly in boxing, but Conor really brought that to the next level in MMA self promotion.
