Diet/Fasting I've been eating Bryan Johnson's 'Blueprint Protocol' For 3 Months: AMA

The no meat part got me weary.

However, I’ve tried the raw olive oil and choco flavonoids in my diet and tbh I did start to feel better.

Thr guy also takes TRT lol Ofcourse he’s gonna feel younger

I saw a documentary where some cult leader dude put his male followers on this diet for a few months before he got them to do ghey butt stuff with him.

He said it made them weaker and easier to control but he also said the clean up was a lot messier. Gotta weight the pros with the cons I guess. Let us know how it goes.

OP what supplements do you take?

What results have you noticed in this time frame? Have you had your bloodwork done?

Dang.

I didn't know the singer from AC/DC did all this other stuff as well.

This guy is also a prime example of a piece of shit rich person. All these insanely wealthy people do is care about themselves and spending money on themselves. Fuck doing anything good for the world, watch videos of me spending $100 million a year on stem cells.
Back in Black enriched many a life thank you.

Here are my lab values before and ~ 4 months after starting Bryan Johnson diet. Nutty pudding with 50G egg whites in the morning and Super Veggie at night, no lunch. I take whey isolate 3 times a day with Breakfast, around 2pm, and at dinner. I have been on this diet since mid April. I was pretty strict with this diet, but I still ate out at vegan restaurants a few times a month. My only 100% commitment was no meat since I was trying to lower my cholesterol markers. My weight went from 153 lbs to 136 lbs (lowest weight since 10th grade). I'm 34 years old and I exercised twice a week doing Olympic Weightlifting style workouts.

Aiming to get a full longevity medical in December, MRI, v02 Max, blood panels, speed of ageing etc. Luxury clinic based in India, 5 star resort.

So I take the full Blueprint range of supplements, with the following additions:
  • NAC.
  • NMN.
  • Nattokinese.
  • EPA/DHA.
  • Rapamycin.
  • Metformin.
It's been 8 months now, I've got the results anyone would presumably expect from exercising everyday, and eating a nutritionally sound diet. I.e, fat loss, muscle gain, improved cardio health, mental clarity, better flexibility, better sleep quality, better skin etc. The key difference with this protocol is eliminating, reducing, and/or maintaining biomarkers that will promote disease free ageing.

You can of course eat junk foods & meat, fats, and be in peak gym shape - that's not optimal health though. You're trashing your arterial health, cognitive health, increasing cancer growth risk with mTOR activation, etc.

People aren't sincere about shortening their life because they can't admit they're addicted to the sensations of meat, fat, sugar, salt. That's why people say they'd rather "live" than to eat food they don't enjoy. But what they mean is they can't give up the powerful sensation of unhealthy foods. They're unwilling to confront it.

If someone's concept of "living life to the full" is effectively just eating cheeseburgers until it cripples their midlife and senior years, I personally think that's rather dull. It's up to the individual to use their brain and make their food tasty. I enjoy my meals, I don't feel I miss anything.

Very nice. The food looks delicious.

How do you procure Metformin/Rapamycin? Do you do it through an antiaging clinic or on your own?

Have you noticed any improvements from metformin and rapamycin?

There are labs you can buy it from as "research materials" that are strictly "not for consumption" lol.

Without the heavy finance of someone like Bryan, it's hard for me to test for a data-led improvement from taking them. So it's difficult to attribute any wellbeing specifically to them. Anecdotally, I do feel "healthier" since including them in my supplement tins. There's plenty of evidence that they're worthwhile though.

Here's what Bryan looks like without filters..I am not sure he exudes the health he claims to have ..no healthy 18 year old looks like this...(Since he claims to have bio markers of one ..)

How are you doing now?

I was going to start a thread about Bryan's blueprint.
Amazing how much negativity is in this thread.

The man is sharing his account of the best intake for him.

I have been leaning towards more of his diet by default and my own research/results.

I shall post my own bloodwork in a couple of months but my own diet is as:

Breakfast "shake" at 0700
75g whey
75g ground oats
10g chia seeds
10g cacao powder
+
Single espresso
7g creatine
Multi vit
MSM/Glucosamine and Vit C

Lunch 1200
150g dryweight black lentils
Chopped garlic
Ginger
Turmeric
Salt

also
200ml tomato juice
30ml olive oil
Black pepper
3 boiled eggs

Shake at 1700
Same as breakfast

With additional small supplements, I'm hitting all of my nutrient needs.

I'm slow dropping fat at a sedentary life

It's such a fine balance getting it all.

I'm aiming for 110kg very lean approx 12% bodyfat. I'm 197cm.

At almost 44, mental reflection and ego dissolution are stronger than ever.

Being able to live maximum health as long as possible is goal.
I'll likely end up almost vegan later down the line if the supplements are adequate.

Sharing his diet protocol may not ethically balance him in your universe but diet is a thorn in the side of modern humans.
GIving transparency on it is - imo - a massivey undervalued move. It isn't a scheme, or croc. It's well researched and OP has posted great changes since the thread.

How are you doing now?

Never been healthier or happier.

I aim to get more variety in the diet while still hitting the principles, but I've got great energy, mood, bodyfat is flying off. It's definitely a diet plan I'd stick with if nothing else.

2000 calories now.

Protein: collagen peptides, hemp & pea isolates, soy milk, tofu (beans, legumes too).
Fats: seeds, nuts, evoo, avocado.
Carbs: all other veggies, beans, legumes.

A few example meals on my expanded plan:

Shakes:

Nutty pudding shake.

Cocoa Matcha protein shake (cocoa, matcha, soy milk, collagen, manuka, protein powder).

Cooked Sweet potato or avocado can be added for creaminess and extra nutrition.

Meals:

Power bowls (roasted veggies & tofu, vegan burrito bowls, with mixed nuts & seeds etc)

Vegetable & lentil soups (example: red lentil, tomato, zuchini, red onion, chilli, saffron, garlic, basil, with mixed nuts & seeds).

Green & bean salads (example: broccoli, asparagus, beets, kale, alfalfa sprouts, black beans, hummus, with mixed nuts & seeds etc).

Who is more savory, this Bryan Johnson or the other Brian Johnson (LiverKing)?

Both influencers with products to sell.

Bryan may be an "influencer" by some definition but he shares his detailed advice for free.
I've been eating closer to my own blueprint of late with great results.

Can't say that for a general "influencer", not liver king.

He has close to 1.7M subscribers and growing on Youtube. He has been featured heavily on mainstream media for the past few years. A Netflix documentary was made on him. He has a legion of devoted fans that rival rockstar groupies and Manson family cult members. He is an influencer and key opinion leader by all definitions.

It makes him sound very charitable the way you frame his giving out advice for "free". It's pretty much just him offering his opinion and thoughts on his platform, right? That's pretty much what every other influencer does. Are they all then giving "free" advice too? I suppose free advice is free, but the act is hardly novel and worthy of commendation IMO. Fundamentally they all do it to build their platform. Plus, it's dubious if any advice given ties into products they are also selling on the back end. Now it just becomes good old fashioned marketing. No different than a pharma ad.

His most sage advice is probably just eat well, sleep and exercise. Something we all knew. Everything else he says seems to just be an iteration of 'I'm the world's top 1% of all 20 year olds at everything'. "Don't Die" as a brand is also juvenile even though his fans think it's some novel thing. Like, no duh? Why does anyone cross check before they cross the road? Why do people go to the doctor when sick? Because they don't wanna die. We've been doing "don't die" instinctively since the evolution of the modern man well before "Don't Die" became a brand.

How is the LiverKing that far different from this B Johnson though? They both have a platform and they both peddle products to their followers. The only difference I can tell is one is in-your-face clownish to the point of satire, and the other takes themselves more seriously and tries to portray and cultivate a respectable image. But that's just optics and marketing. Fundamentally they are doing similar things, and interestingly they have similar names.
