Q-Tips religiously after my daily shower. My wife yells I go too deep.

Get some ear candlesSo I've always been one to regularly clean my ears - sometimes with Q-tips but often with an earpick like below. Anyways, it seems to be getting out of hand for me as lately I have been cleaning my ears multiple times a day! I barely even get any notable flakes of earwax anymore but I still scratch about with my earpick thinking I'm gonna find something hidden there
I think it is becoming a problem!! Any other Sherfellows have a similar addiction?

Have you tried removing your ears? I've heard it works in 99% cases of excessive ear cleaning
Doctors always say you’re not supposed to stick shit in your ears, q-tips included.
There was one 'ear doctor' recently on tv saying that over 80% of his work comes from people with problems associated with always cleaning their ears and using Q-Tips, etc.

I'd always thought things like Q-Tips were meant especially for the ear in the first place.

Why is that?
I thought that cotton swabs/q-tips would be awesome for cleaning stuff out of my ears.
I clean myself constantly.
Because if you stick them in too far you can damage your ear drum.
Is that all?
Like I already wrote in this thread, I'm always VERY CAREFUL when I'm using cotton swabs/q-tips.
