My pitbulls are good dogs, never even growled at anyone. Maybe because they have a large plot of land to run around on and aren't cooped up 24/7, I don't know but I have never had issues with mine.

i haven't seen all of the video but from what I have seen, at least part of the problem is that the people in it are fucking imbeciles who don't know how to separate fighting dogs. Like yeah, hit them with a stick that'll work, fucken retards. that big juicy collar just sitting around their necks waiting to be twisted into the simplest chokehold you ever saw and people flailing around like there isn't a single drop of testosterone or common sense between them. useless bastards.

Of course it's the breed. Aggressive and dangerous is the baseline for the dog, the owner doesn't make it that way, but it makes it even worse when it's apparently a requirement to have a broken fence latch and a substance abuse problem to get one.

A muzzle law should be the minimum for taking these monsters in public.

Well part of the problem with those statistics is that a Pit Bull isn’t even a dog breed. It’s a catch all for like 10 different breeds. You’ll find breeds you’ve never even heard of on the AKC’s official website but “Pit Bulls” are nowhere to be found:

Pit bulls can absolutely be one of the sweetest dog breeds to own.

Let their pits run free regardless of tickets or arrest or seizure of the dogs. They just got more because they don’t spay or neuter their animals so there’s always someone having puppies to get more.

I am one of those “it’s the owner” type but even if I considered myself a good owner, I wouldn’t trust a pit or some other breeds. Hell, my golden retriever bit my soundest last year. Just a nip, but it was a reminder that every dog can bite given the right circumstances. When I was a cop, I got bit by several dogs and the worst was a little chihuahua that jumped up and grabbed my middle finger and scraped half the skin off as it fell. The owner, a great big fat woman had the gall to ask me what I did to him. She was standing right there and clearly saw I was just standing there talking to her about a vandalism that had happened to a neighbor. Instead of apologizing, she blamed me. We found her fat ass dead on the toilet on Christmas Day a few years later. I am not saying the dog was at fault, but I can’t say it didn’t have something to do with it.
