It's Pereira who needs to keep distance

Alex beats the brakes off of Jan at any distance if they are standing. Still a toss up for me as to who actually wins, but takedowns or lights out are the two scenarios imo

I'm sure Alex will fight smarter this time after that KO loss to Izzy for being too overzealous, and not keeping proper distance looking for a finish.

I love Alex but he's just not that smart of a guy. He should have learned his lesson from their first fight when Izzy nearly koed him in the first. Alex just has that just bleed die by the sword mentality

With the arm chair quarterbacks here at sherdog, you would think everyone here is trying to turn Pereira into a point fighter. Pereira works best with his size, durability, and power advantage. Yet you guys want him to stick on the outside and tighten his defenses? Sounds like you want him to fight like Izzy when he's in cruise control. Pereira takes the risks because he's usually the more powerful and technical striker, so in a coinflip in the phonebooth he's probably coming on top.
I have no clue why you are being this condescending. Anyways, I disagree. I think Jan is the more mobile striker who can throw combinations in the phonebooth. Also, he doesn't have to adjust his feet to reshuffle like Pereira does.

Cool I have no problem eating my words if I'm wrong. I see Pereira finishing Jan on the feet easily and if Jan wins it's because D1 Jan makes his return.

Izzy fanbois wish Alex walked through Jan. At least some consolation prize because it’s something Israel will never be able to do.

I dunno. Logically, they would want Alex to fail, since Izzy didn't even get close?

The quick turnaround after the bad KO has me worried for Alex...how he didnt get a medical suspension is crazy

Most people couldn't pop him with the left before the gets his own left back. Without that, the big right isn't landing like that. I'm skeptical that Jan has that kind of vision, but we'll see.

This has the right amount of sodium to be considered salty yeah?

I'm picking Pereira by TKO for this one.
Jan *should* try to get this toi the ground fast, and he may well be able to do that once or twice.

But...I just think Alex has too much power at 205lbs and he'll get a TKO finish.

Jan is gonna land, no doubt about it

But is Alex the kind of guy you want to trade shots with? Idk

Jan might be up for it though, he’s a savage

I like both guys!

You got the winner right. But I think Jan (when he was fresh) looked like the quicker and more effective striker in the phone booth. What did you think of the fight.

I mean Jan looked great until he gassed honestly, might have been his age/elevation/wrestling gameplan. Pereira did tons of damage with his kicks. The fight ended up being judged as a "points" fight and Pereira barely edged it and you still have people arguing about it. Still agree with my original notion that Pereira really needs finishes to get a cleaner win. Izzy does a better job with scoring decisions.
