It seems my Numbers are way off...ARE THEY?

I used to use straps on everything, especially weighted chins. My grip is much better now and is no longer the limiting factor (I will be hitting a 500 dead any day now, literally). My grip has developed quite a bit with the use of thick bars (rolling thunder etc.) and grippers. I agree with Hulkamania, don't use straps, period. I see way to many people relying on them. Thanks to this board, I am no longer one of them.

whats this rolling thunder i keep hearing everyone speak of?

is it equipment? or is it a certain excersise?

check on www.ironmind.com. It is a piece of epuipment that is a thick handle and it rolls so you can really wedge it in your hand because of all the motion. YOu attatch a cable and loading pin to it and you have yourself one heck of a grip workout.

excellent...thanks alot rickdog

im gonna be buying one of these next week for sure

how long have you been using this thing? and is it killer for grip?

I agree w/ Rickdog about the importance of grip strength. I too will be pulling 500 very soon and my grip is strong enough to handle way more weight than that. It's not that hard to strengthen your hands and it's something that makes life easier.
