Thanks. This brought up an interesting turn of events for my fancasting. I initially cast Shemar Moore as the grown up Mike Hanlon because he looked like the big version of the child actor. I got a lot of flak for that casting and so I changed it to David Oyelowo. The funny thing is one year later they cast Isiah Mustafa which has a very similar vibe/aura/physique with Shemar Moore. So you could say I was on point with my Mike Hanlon pick.

You're doing good man. You have a future in this. :D

There better be a giant spider scene or this movie can kiss my grits.

The first one was ok but not great, and this one isnt as good apparently.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO boy, 1.5 hours until my butt is in the seat to see this one. Pretty excited!

So is IT fucking Woke? Never read the book so don't know if The 1st part of part 2 matches parts of the Book?

Won't spoiler anything, but a heads up yo anyone who's going to watch this. It's super long and super drawn out. Apart from a few scenes here and there Pennywise is basically none existing in the movie and appears to break up the drama. Of course, they have their big final battle with It, so yes, towards the end the movie picks things up a notch. Overall, I can't say it's a bad movie, but it's unnecessarily long and focuses more on drama than on horror. I say rewatch the first one and YouTube clips of Tim Curry frm the mini series and wait until this comes on Netflix.

Side note: heard the director say that if this does good, there's potential for a prequel. I'd be down for that... Skarskard junior is a fantastic Pennywise.

Long and drawn out? I didn't realize how long the movie was while watching it until it got to the last 20 minutes.

I thought the movie flowed very well. I thought the cast was great, all except Professor Xs studder. The kid did a believable studder, he kinda didn't have alot of the mannerisms down IMO and sometimes it felt weird. I liked the story around each character and stuff as the "dead spots", and thought pennywise and other visions were scattered all throughout perfectly.

First 85-90% of the movie, for me, was fantastic. Last little bit and how they defeated him was kinda weak as fuck. Also the last bit had one of the only jokes that felt forced and didn't land for me, kinda took me outta the moment.

Hader is a fucking super star and I hope that dude has a long career. Also, Skarsgard absolutely murdered the role once again. No one else could have did what he has done with Pennywise. It was a fun to watch him perform.

I agree, it was ironic how the story was great...until the ending.

Good film , didn't need to be that long. Liked the flashbacks highlighted how good the teen actors were also their great chemistry . Bill Hader was the best of the adults, McAvoy felt a bit under used as did Bill Skarsgard this time out.

Not as good as the 1st for me but a solid 8.5/10.

The ending of the book was also terribly anti-climactic, so this isn't surprising.

is that why there's the running joke throughout the movie how Professor X writes great books but has shitty endings?

Is it a horror movie this time?
The first one was more of a children's adventure story

I hope they don't beat up the bad guy with bats again. Shit made him look as dangerous as BJ Penn in 2019

Something was off for me. All the adults, except hader, seem to just fill their roles. Cried at the end and i hate the reason why.

Each flashback reminded me how how i missed the kids.

I highly recommend any fans listen to the audiobook narrated by Stephen Weber. Really, really good, far better than either movie. 45 hours though, she's a long one.
