It's more than just residentials. They've also hit an IDF command centre (surrounded by residential buildings), a militarized R&D lab, and the Bazan oil refinery in Haifa. Almost nobody would've believed any of that shit a mere 48 hours ago, especially not so early into it. My keen, sole concern in this conflict is that there is no direct US service member engagement and bloodshed. So I actually want a quick resolution, but there will not be one. Ending the regime will take either Israel straight-up nuking Persia or a full-on invasion and occupation (i.e. Iraq, one of the most disastrous and disgraceful acts in the history of the nation), and we can't afford that shit, dude. In literally any and every conceivable way, we can't do it. We're already bleeding from a hundred different cuts domestically with problems out the asshole and through the eyeballs.

One of the biggest problems for Israel, as has been pointed out many times is that it's just so damn physically small both in absolute and relative terms. A sustained bombardment that has the population perpetually running for shelters, leaves widespread destruction of the country's infrastructure, and grinds economic activity to a halt comes with enormous political and psychological consequences to the point that it may not even matter if Iran is able to inflict heavy casualties on Israeli leadership and the IDF.

The moment Iran enriched Uranium above 20% ("highly enriched uranium"), they gave the clearest possible signal to the world that they intended to develop nuclear weapons. There's literally no need to do that unless you intend to build nuclear weapons.

How you can call anti-proliferation successful is beyond me. If you're talking about the initial deal that Trump pulled out of, that was essentially Iran holding the world hostage with nuclear blackmail. They were asking for ABSURD levels of appeasement to keep enrichment under 4%.
