Israel Adesanya's Absolute Destruction Of Costa Will Be The Most Ruthless Beatdown Ever Witnessed

Special SD 3D glasses, letters are popping off my screen.

Overeem beat a prime Badr Hari and he beat him via skill and tactic. That is lightyears above everything Adesanya accomplished in stand up. Overeem has a very crafty underrated stand up. Now he is way past his prime and can still compete and get wins. Adesanya got his lights put out when he went up in level of opposition. He was an ok kickboxer at pro level nothing more but also nothing less as that is a huge accomplishment. Thats his skill level based on fight record. Everything else is fantasyland.

I could analyze his whole technical skillset but as I know you by now that will change nothing. You are kind of immune to reality.
Again, you are missing the point completely.

As has been pointed out several times by multiple people, Adesanya relies on his head movement, reflexes and feet to mitigate damage. He doesnt rely on his gloves and shell like defense as many kickboxers do.

This is why his kickboxing style has translated to mma better than almost anyone.

Overeem has great striking. I never suggested otherwise. However in terms of raw technique and versatility, he's a step behind Adesanya.

His absurd physical dimensions close that gap significantly and it's why he was able to topple so many high level kickboxers.

Adesanya was a top 5 kickboxer at middleweight on a global scale. His last loss was to the undisputed #1 ranked kickboxer on the planet. He was more than an "okay" kickboxer.

I could say the same about you my friend. You have a habit of consistently sharing ignorant opinions as if they're absolute fact.

Projection at its finest.

bit odd when someone suggests you are immune to reality

Meanwhile they completely miss the obvious points multiple people have made.. lol

This is the one that always gets me lmao.

I always need to fight single battle haha.

Wisdom and maturity is knowing which battles to fight and which ones to walk away from.
That's a good quote.
I've started to put members who are just totally unreasonable on ignore, and damn is it helping.
For the members that I know we strongly disagree about certain things but are still reasonable, I have a couple of debates with them about the thing we disagree about, and then if that gets no where I will just avoid that topic.
For instance @GoshiShun17 , he is a reasonable dude, but we strongly disagree on Izzy. We used to have a lot of arguments about Izzy, but we have started to avoid that particular topic, and its working lmao.

You've come off pretty reasonable and intelligent in the posts I've seen of you.

But yeah, appearances can be deceiving. I often fall victim to this but it's a work in progress.
That is a fucking high compliment bro, thanks.
Yeah, its always going to be difficult, but we just keep going. Progress is progress, no matter how small lol.

Immune to reality? That's a bold statement coming from the guy saying that Israel got KO'd as soon as he went in competition in KB, which is untrue. The guy that KO'd Izzy robbed him of a decision previously and rallied back to land the very KO you're talking about. Admittedly I haven't watched all of Izzy's kickboxing fights; however, I can confidently say he was robbed against Perriera the first time and against Wilnis. Missed the Marcus and Verlinden fights.

Izzy has a better win/lose ratio than Overeem in KB and MMA, plus he has a more complete style because of his defensive prowess. Less kickboxers develop these kinds of styles because the KB culture is more about standing and banging (lots of machismo). As you can see, they translate better to MMA, hence they're more effective.

It's the embodiment of your SD persona (av, sn, location, etc) that gets you into these discussions, bud.

Yeah I love that

People who you disagree with and are still capable of being cordial and respectful with.

I appreciate these types deeply.

A lot of people dont have that sort of maturity and it gets toxic very fast.

I think izzy is his favourite fighter. That kind of love can lead us to get carried away at times. Lol, cool guy tho.

I gotta work on not arguing with these people who are like walls.

It's like that quote, never argue with an idiot, they will only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. I've had some really toxic versions of myself show on this forum just by engaging with so many of these people.

That kind of wisdom is a hard lesson, for me at least.

Yeah, it doesn't help that Izzy is my least favorite fighter lmao. It can make it super hard to see eye to eye on anything.
That's honestly my favorite type of person. Someone who I have resolved differences with and now get on with.

It doesn't help that there is a lot of anonymity online, and so it can get super toxic super fast, cause there is nothing stopping you from being toxic.
I'm working on it:)

Elaborate?

IIRC Chael had a hard time to be sold on Izzy and the dude likes to argue and is very opinionated. So channeling your inner Chael, it's not strange you get into these Izzy debates.

I guess you dont know @MescalineDreams posting history regarding Jon Jones. Complete and utter absend of reality. Its just his style. He fixates on someone and then its all in dont matter any facts. Now its Adesanya.
Please elaborate on exactly what i have said that is absent of reality about Adesanya.

With Jon Jones, I acknowledge that he's the type of person with an angel on his shoulder, devil on his back. He's a christian who has a bible verse tatted on his chest. Yet hes a man who has made many mistakes and succumbed to the dark side of fame. I don't view him to be a monster and a sociopath because I am not one to define someone exclusively by their mistakes and darkness. I acknowledge that such a person is often incredibly complex and not one you can truly define based on their darkest moments or what they may demonstrate on the surface.

Such a view isnt necessarily about Jon Jones himself. It is a principle that I abide by in general. I have paid attention to hollywood, the entertainment industry and those within it for a long time. For that reason, I am incredibly cautious and generally far more lenient when it comes to my judgements and analysis of character within that realm.

Perhaps you see it as delusion or someone who is absent of reality. But I think the depth of what I see and why can be lost on people sometimes in their at times extreme judgements and irrational dislike.

That said, as I've already stated, it is hilariously hypocritical when someone casually ignores / misses the point that several different people make, has a habit of stating their opinions as if they're absolute fact, talking about others being immune to reality.

It has been pointed out that Izzy relies on his head movement, reflexes and feet to avoid damage, not his gloves. Which is a big reason why hes undefeated, a UFC champion and why his style has translated better than most kickboxers. Which is why such comparisons are incredibly short sighted. This is a fact and cannot be disputed.

I do, we had a little thing when he was Conor crazy. Nothing he's saying here is wrong though, so I don't have the need to pull up old shit (speaking for myself).

I just dont think costa has the wrestling to do whats needed and thats mixing it up. Israel is just a better striker.

Ahaha very true.
Most of my problem with Izzy was the build up to Whittaker and how that fight went down. I am a huge Whittaker fan, so that just put me off Izzy permanently.

In the words of Chael P. Sonnen "there is no better day to stop being you and start trying to be Chael P. Sonnen".

That's the game though.

Everyone Is trying to be Conor and sell themselves.

The world of cameras is a game of masks.

Cant take it too seriously. These people are often a lot more chill, respectful and humble deep down than they might appear on camera.

so I don't have the need to pull up old shit (speaking for myself).
Oh I wont pull up old "shit". Its all ok. I can respect you see Adesanya as more competent in stand up. Lets hope Costa - Izzy will be a good fight thats imo the most important aspect.

Should be brother, enjoy the fights!

You are still completely missing the point people have been making even now.

You say "more competent in standup" in such a black and white way, ignoring the specifics that have been drawn out for you.

I also pointed out my view on Jon Jones which I understand is a bit niche and not everyone is going to understand where I'm coming from.

From what I've seen of you, this type of energy is par for the course. Which is why I find the assertion of being immune to reality so hilariously hypocritical.
