Islam had a horrible weight cut

Height wise aside is there actually a massive size discrepancy? Volk is thick af but always seems size is exclusively used for Khabib and Islam to discredit them.
Volk has never had a near death experience trying to make 145. Can't say the same fir Khabib, Islam, and some others

Him and khabib always had bad weight cuts. And then still come in and maul their opponents like nothing happened to them the day’s previous

I don't fucking get these people that imply its a anti muslim or anti Dagestani stance to question commissions, commissions handle a lot of things that are incredibly valuable, I mean Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta bought the UFC because they were on the athletic commission board and could pull strings to make it advantageous for them. Boxing commissions have been corrupted in the past with judging and other things quite obviously. I still remember the issue with GSP weighing in according to Nick and that they rounded down his weight instead of forcing GSP to cut more which I do not believe is common practice for title fights. Obviously it isn't some Islamic conspiracy, it's UFC wanting their money, Australia to whatever capacity wanting their money, giant networks that are tied into this...I'm not saying its likely but it's certainly possible some shit was stirred. Beyond that, what happened in Abu Dhabi was really fishy with Khamzat too and theres literal video evidence.
Husky the champ before Islam lost his belt on the scale in an American commission I just find it a little hard to believe that UFC couldn't make the Arizona commission weigh an overweight Oliveira in on championship weight but they could make an overweight Islam weigh in on championship weight in Australia against an Australian.

The GSP thing it's definitely fishy though but maybe that's because it was in GSP's hometown?

Islam didn’t even look that bad, this all just seems like wishful thinking to me

Meh, same narrative was used vs Oliveira and look and it went.

That's a bit defensive, isn't it?

First of all, those guys aren't the only fighters people try to discredit based on their size. Cyborg Santos, Conor McGregor at FW, Jon Jones at LHW are obvious examples, but there's lots more.
Second, Khabib and Islam are/were both large LWs. So if the shoe fits...

I'm not always sure the extra five pounds is worth it to cut that much, but when the size discrepancy is already very large, then it might be.

It's crazy how 190+ pound men like Islam and DP have trouble cutting to 155.

These are supposed to be elite athletes.

I can easily cut from 220 to 210 with my morning shit and I'm a lifelong loser.

He historically has had 'bad weight cuts' due to being a BIG 155er, but he's never needed to weigh in nude before. Hence the curtains when he was on the scale.

It could be an issue when in the cage, or it could not.

Less time to rehydrate as well. I think the main event gets 6 hours less than usual.

Its not exclusive at all. Alot of guys have been called weight bullies

Probably not a good sign if your big hope is your opponent not recovering from a weight cut.

We’ll see come fight night. No need to read to much into pictures unless your home is on the line.

Events usually last longer than 6 hours, so being the main event with 6 hours less isn't much different from the normal recovery time and fighting earlier on the card.

Everybody cuts weight, so how many fights on prelims of a normal card are decided because of guys not recovering from weight cuts? A horrible weight cut means they had to stop you or you missed weight, not that you looked dehydrated on the scale and then fine a couple hours later during the ceremonial weigh ins.

Yeah he should be a ww who cuts to 175

I am not sure if were talking about the same thing. Generally main event fighters weigh in the morning and the fight is the next day at night, so they have like 36 hours. I read for this event due to the start time, every fighter will have something like 6 hours less to get weight back. I saw it in another thread.
