You are probably disregarding how big of a influence Conor have over UFC. I'm not those people that thinks Conor > UFC, which is ridiculous imho. But I'm going to assume he could actually sign but not fight. Look at how the Chandler saga unfolded.

Chandler basically fondled Conor balls to make Conor pick him out of the 10+ call out, until they presumably signed to fight after TUF. Then he went Pro-Wrestling style to hype the fight. BUT he still didn't get the fight.

I'm not going to pretend I'm in the know, but pretty Chandler had a contract signed, just no fights in the end.

While we're revisiting this scumbag's track record, I find it depressing some people think Khabib confronting Artem in the company of others somehow justifies Conor showing up with thirty people, throwing a dolly at a bus, and injuring multiple innocent fighters and a driver. Imagine if it wasn't Chiesa but Rose who had been cut, how he would have been perceived. He could have seriously hurt someone. He actively hurt a lof of people.

Conor is not an eleven year old. If his friend got into an altercation with Khabib and his buddies, that doesn't in any way, shape or form, draw an equivalence in character or action with showing up with thirty people, breaking into a venue, throwing a dolly at a bus and injuring a bunch of people. To say that thats why Conor did what he did is just to say Conor is a complete and utter criminal imbecile.

Saying that what Khabib did was "just as cowardly" is insane. Conor showed up with thirty people while Khabib is literally at the height of his weight cut and threw a dolly at a bus. Khabib approached Artem with two guys, talked to him and patronizingly touched him. He didn't slap him silly, and nothing came of it. No one was hurt, not Artem, nor anyone.

What was Khabib supposed to do? Walk out of that bus, have the bus leave, to have an honorable fight with Conor while his buddies observe a contest between gladiators, so that win or lose, it would be settled and no one would be seriously hurt?
