I make a point to try to stay in decent shape, I feel it is fair to a expect similar attitude from a partner.

Agreed. Unless you have a legitimate hormonal condition or something (which we know DC doesn't have), you SHOULD feel ashamed for letting yourself go to that extent.

Of course, the same goes for the flip side - the "X-positivity" movements. Body-positivity? Why is it a positive thing to weigh 300 pounds? You're not comfortable with your body; you're comfortable with not having to show restraint at the buffet.
