Is Venom Page past his prime?

Oh yes.. Wonderboy at 37 was still in his prime if not still very close to it.

I think MVP runs through Shara Bullet. I think Magomedov is grossly overrated.

Yeah I think he is, I didn't like that he beat up a guy for kissing his gf in public before his debut, so I'm kinda biased though.

but grappling looks truly dogshit, so I doubt he goes far...In this one...we will see. I think shara is still better than holland and he IS a MW, so..we will see.

They are matching him up well, obviously since his grappling seems very lacking, but he IS undefeated so, and going up against another striker from a class below, I think it could go either way.

With MVP his grappling and take down defense was way behind his striking. So over the years it's gotten better. I would say he's probably more well rounded now than he used to be. So even if he's lost a step with age he may actually be the best version of himself at the moment with all the improvements he's made over the years on TDD and such.

He’s definitely past prime. I don’t know what he’s proved either.

Kevin Holland is a bum, so beating him doesn’t count for much.

What he primarily would have to prove is that he stands a chance against elite grapplers in the discussion. Everyone knows he can win stand up battles. There is no way he fights a UFC wrestler at this stage.

I hope they do keep giving him fun fights. We don't really need to see him against a grappler unless he makes it to a #1 contender fight. We know what his grappling looks like. Just let him bang bros.

Yes
But they doesn't been a past prime MVP can't beat a fighter in their prime. Everything is relative. There's more then a few 28, 29, 30 year old UFC WW that MVP would beat

We really missed prime MVP vs prime Izzy. What a shame.

they wouldn't have fought each other in their primes. different weight classes, and MVP would have had to have earn a title shot to fight him.

who knows, it could have happened. still can

I'm just glad we get to see a few MVP masterpieces in the UFC before he's gone, he's one of the most unique talents ever seen in all of combat sports

Also it is amazing he hasn't seemed to slow down to the extent you think he would considering how heavy his style is reliant on speed and reflexes, he's probably done a fairly well job at avoiding damage and living a healthy lifestyle
