Is Venom Page past his prime?

1. At 37, he's years past his physical prime. But he's still super fast and presumably still learning, so he's definitely not washed.
2. I think he made a good decision staying with Bellator. He was never going to be championship material, so he probably made more money as a cornerstone for Bellator.

They somehow felt Cormier and Jones were both in their prime when they fought despite Cormier being quite old

Physical prime fighting prime aren't always the same, especially for someone like DC who transitioned to mma late.

MVP is one entertaining motherfucker. He's not the best but he sure is fun to watch. I think he's got some more awesome fights in him.

I mean it's pretty clear at this point his aspirations of becoming a champion level fighter is long gone. Definitely not in his prime anymore both mentally and physically

He wants to build his brand before he leaves his MMA career.
Being a UFC fighter gets you much more follower.
Which gets you career opportunities after MMA

He’s still good but he’s too old to make huge improvements. He is never going to sort out his TDD.

Guys like page Alvarez and chandler were never in their prime in the ufc

They don't but MVP has been outwrestled by guys like Daley and Garry. They aren't known for their wrestling.
MVP was the one who used wrestling, and outwrestled Daley for 5 rounds. MVP was the one who won the fight.

ARe you sure? Daley turned D1 for that fight but he got clipped hard with a flying knee. The fight turned after that strike and Daley went into full survival mode.

I just read the play by play, and it seems like you're right. It was Daley using the wrasslin'. I had thought MVP beat him via lay and pray.

I don’t remember the fight well. I just remember that fight is when they coined the D1 Daley moniker. It was a big deal because Daley was talking nonsense about first one who shoots should lose a chunk of their purse.
