Is UFC the Stingiest Sports League?

Probably the NCAA.

Does the UFC even still do 8/8 contracts?? I think the minimum is 10/10. Reebok pay, not much but still money.
It's 12/12 now, 16-17 years ago it was 2/2, you know any other company that has increased it base pay by 600% over that time?

Twitch, OnlyFans, and Cameo accounts have all been shut down by WWE unless they have explicit approval from corporate. So even though they are "independent contractors" and don't get fulltime employee benefits, corporate cracks down on any supplemental income they try and make. (There are exceptions.)
ah. I thought you meant UFC guys can’t.

if you give any company an inch they will take a mile. that's how these aholes operate around the globe. there's literally no integrity any more, its the bottom line down to every penny

It’s all about management teams since fighters are independent contractors. Like you wouldn’t say the music industry is a “league”. Same deal with MMA really but the UFC has a monopoly on distribution. Like if WMG was the only record label.
They are not just independent contractors. I do not even understand how these contracts are legal. Then we have the Mafia-style backroom bonuses.

Doesn’t boxing still do like $1k for undercard fighters?

I also don't like the pay but what I also don't like is fighters fighting once a year or less and expecting to make a fortune.
Instead, they should be fighting 3-4 times a year like some of the guys and those guys are actually making money, bonus here, bonus there,
fan friendly, will probably get a significant bump in the negotiations (if not on 4 losses in a row).

for how hard the sport is and what all the fighters are risking, yeah it's awful how little they make.

and the UFC constantly shuts down anything like a fighters union or the Ali Act

There's probably some merit to the Idea, but compared to other MMA leagues the money's better on average.

Seems like this thread is made nearly every single day and is filled mostly with replies from people who don’t understand the very basics of capitalism, value creation or even supply and demand. Beyond that, these same threads are mirrored by the mass sentiment that it is perfectly okay to illegally stream (steal) from the UFC.

It’s probably too much to ask, but try considering if your idea is scaleable out the entire impacted population before blurting out something absolutely moronic.

A league is in charge of promoting a sport and its teams...

Now call me crazy but that sounds an awful lot like what a promotion does...promote fights ( the sport of MMA) and its fighters (teams in other words)

Hence the name of PFL... Pro fighter League ...

Thanks for coming out...200w.gif DGrMTBIUMAAJNVo.jpg

Sure the UFC is stingy in how revenue is distributed / is full of dodgy business dealings, but if we're talking purely about money then you're a long way from how bad it can be.

Imagine a fighter paying $37,000,000 to fight in the UFC for a year. There's a completely different world outside the tiny bubble of combat sports.

Huh? That's probably how much the best nascar driver earns in a year from sponsors.. That shit is just a small community being passed down from generation to generation.. that only the lowest of IQs follow it.. I couldn't name you any nascar driver or whatever they call that shit these days.
