But at the same timke drill those overtly flashy techniques?

I mean as people have already said why? He certainly has some skill and background? why complicate it?

Has the founder/head instructor at that place - Jeremy Corbell - ever competed in anything that any of you know about? I tried the quick google search, but found nothing. I'm curious if he has ever beaten another black belt (or anyone, for that matter) in competition.

Should I assume that nobody has ever seen this guy compete, most likely because he doesn't want his name and system to get humiliated in live competition with skilled and resisting opponents?

Very Legit. Bjj/Judo/Kickboxing mix

His demonstration needs to be flashy or the lame eye would not care. ...

ummm i doubt it.

i couldn't find anything about BJJ on his site, please direct me.

^ yes, i also couldn't find anything about competition results for the instructor/school on google or any other site. I'm trying to see how they actually do in competition with more conventional grappling gyms, but there doesn't seem to be much of a competitive track record for any of them....

<-----See Avatar.

Its a flashy good demo reel. But a lot of overly complicated moves that wouldn't work on someone that was actually attacking you and resisting.

Cool to watch but not very practical in my opinion. Would look good at an exhibition.

I can't imagine wanting to spend that much time on those moves to get them that good. I'd rather just get the ones I use all the time down right.

man, that technique in most of the "ground fighting" is horrendous

If your opponent stands there and makes no attempt to defeind himself then yes, it's real.

But, obviously, this guy is doing very spectacular-looking moves rather than perfectly practical ones.
