Judo Is this Karate throw from Judo or Jujutsu?

My fathers instructor was a judoka before switching to Karate. He told my father that Judo free sparring is so stupid. A fight never starts that way.

And hes right...
You should read Kano's memoirs if you legitimately believe Judo randori is supposed to prepare you for starting a real fight.

There is a youtuber judoka who thinks judokas will get fucked up first time someone hits them in the face, if that has never happened to them before. He doesnt believe in judo at all for self defence.

Okay? Good for him i guess. Does he believe in Judo for physical eduaction, as in, the thing it was made for?

Education in what?
You should really read "Judo Memoirs of Jigoro Kano".

Physical education as in the development of a sound body and healthy mind. Kano was very proud of how thanks to Judo, he was not physically fragile in old age.

My father wrote that Judo changed Do and became a sport, but what he must have meant is that Japanese Jujutsu was a martial art and that is the original martial art of Judo. That makes more sense.

Btw, was Judo ever advertised as self defence?

Judo is not Gracie Jiu Jitsu, so different schools can advertise it as anything.

Since 1956, there exists a dedicated self defense Kata though.

Judo is awful on the body!
I disagree. I started training in 2001 and am in perfect physical health with no pain.

What is your beef with sports anyway?

Listen to the point in the video you pointed out. That's the hilarious part.

If you are far away from someone attacking you, you don't need to defend yourself. You can just turn around and walk away.

It was the mid 1990's when I first started hearing these arguments.

Throws from karate or judo are the same thing. Everybody figured out that fighting was one thing not a style after Bruce Lee figured it out for all of us.
