He did what all Sherdoggers would do and filled the room with uppercuts.

That's the issue, it wasn't an uppercut. It's not cool to fill a room with straight rights, when an uppercut is the prescribed and righteous move.

Hindsight is 20/20 but the way drunk guy moved, he was clearly unable to defend himself and one, good Big Will Smith style slap to the cheek would have been the optimum solution. Guy learns a lesson, no charges are pressed, your honour is preserved and wife drops her panties when you get home.
