Is there any hope for Andrei Arlovski?

Yeah I mean, I think we've reached a point where many fans have an attitude of "if your not a champ, and you were at some point you should retire". I don't think there's anything wrong with the shoguns and Anderson Silvas of the world that still fill a stadium and enjoy their career. Theres no way they'll ever be champ again, but they can still put on a show and compete with many capable fighters.
I said the thing about being champion because HE said he still wants to become champion. He's still on that mission.

not knocking you man. Its a good thread and a valid topic of conversation. Happy to have you on the site.

I'm thinking his best days are behind him unfortunately - 40 years of age & many battles, etc.

Man, when he bust on the scene though, I had high hopes for him, and then I saw the back-to-back losses against Sylvia, and I was like "Wtf happened here lol?!"... Anywho, I wish him all the best in his future endeavors, whichever route it takes him.

-Cheers

I seriously doubt that's going to happen but his odds are better than most by fighting those fatties at HW.

what, you don't think Roy Nelson could be the face of the UFC?

He did achieved pretty high heights though. He was one of the great heavyweights of his time.

Yeah it's a pretty sad state of affairs over there.

I'm just impressed that he hasn't gotten KO'd in awhile. I thought he was done when Brett Rogers KO'd him. He's been amazingly consistent throughout his career. Yeah he probably should quit but I actually don't fear for his health the way I do with say, Ben Saunders. A couple of his decision losses lately I thought he should have won.

I’d love him to go over to bellator and get revenge on fedor, that could send him peacefully into retirement

He's actually very inconsistent. It used to be either he KOs you or you KO him. He was on a tear and loss four in a row. Then he went on another and lost five. He's very streaky.

Shows how his mentality, and most everybodys, work.
Fedor, Silva, Barão, Aldo... They believed they were unbeatable, it lasted very long, so they could pull off everything with solid confidence. It only needs break once.

I would pay money to see that. I wish Roy was more successful.
hahahaha I don't. I enjoy having him in that gate keeper role, but I just can't stand that mans attitude.

What exactly are you saying?

What don't you like about him?
It’s the attitude. He has an arrogance and clearly doesn’t put in the work. I watched him on tuf and he rubbed me the wrong way

This weird sentiment that they fight because they have something to prove is laughable he is a 40 year old man, you might start out like that but after a while it becomes a job, its about putting food on the table, no one will pay him anything close for any other labour. If you are so concerned TS, start a go fundme or maybe you could start giving 50 percent of your pay check, that would show you worry, anything else is really just pandering and pretending, you aint worried.

Andrei Arlovski has millions of dollars dude. I'm not worried about his money. He gets paid 300,000 dollars a fight. He does not need the money.
