I csnt see it he likes this too much to go 8 months an no fight. I know he says thats his thinking but do yall believe it?

He could fight Ulberg in Feb tben fight Jones or Aspinall in June . I think Ulberg is a relatively easy fight if he doesnt take him lightly an he would defend an stay busy . Gettibg to 230 lbs is not hard for Pereria it's basically his real weight anyway just needs to tone it.

Yall think he really waits till June for next fight?

He broke his foot in his last fight & clearly got physically compromised from fighting constantly in past years. Seems like he’s just trying to maximize value at this point for a last fight or two.

He needs to catch up at the tyre shop first.

Dude is a superstar and pushing 40s, it’s better for the UFC and from himself to use him for a superfight, and he was super active defending his belt so it’s not like he’s stalling the division, let the contenders sort themselves out for a bit.

He's late 30's and has an entire career of kickboxing and a ridiculously active MMA schedule the last few years (plus a handful of brutal cuts to MW)

Only so much the human body can take bro.

His toe is dislocated after almost every fight its not an issue. You hear he actually "broke" his foot?

Feb would be 4 months - thats not constant that's pretty much normal for non Eastern Euro fighters .

Yeah he said that he broke it. And I just think the active Poatan era is over. We’re in the end game now. It’s gonna be Jones and/or Aspinall and that’s probably it.

Makes sense, he just broke his foot a couple weeks back so he's gonna take some time this year to recover, likely taking the holidays to relax as well. Considering that, the earliest he would fight is March, which means a very quick turn around for July. Considering July would be a super fight for him, it makes sense to take the first half of 2026 to get ready, rather than taking on Ulberg in between, back to back camps.
